How about using Stanislas Syrewicz and his score to Ken Russell's "The Lair of the White Worm"?

I'd use Joel McNeely's VIRUS, but I don't have it. So I'll probably have to make do with George Fenton's score to YOU'VE GOT MAIL.

NP: THE MUMMY (Jerry Goldsmith). This is a damn good score.

For some reason, I keep hearing Belly Of The Steel Beast from Williams' Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade.

    Lumbering, powerful, relentless.

There's always William's classic "Jaws" theme to set the mood for impending doom. Those 4 notes plod ominously onward as the helpless PC prays that something doesn't jump out of the Internet and grab it! "Oh, I should have gotten that patch, I know I should have gotten that damn patch!"

Just learned about it! And as this virus only attacks Microsoft systems, and only those running Microsoft's IIS server, I say: Let's score it with The Microsoft Sound!

    NP: Midway March (John Williams)

You could go with The Bees Arrive from The Swarm or...
The Dogs Attack from The Omen.

I just can't think of anything better than Timmer's inspired choice. I just watched a news spot about the virus and I could hear "Snakes Alive" playing in my head. Tim, you have, without a doubt, discovered the perfect internet virus music.

Mr. Herrmann's swirly opening credits music for North By Northwest ending with a Tiomkin piano slam from The Thing (1951).
