Ok,since PeterK wanted to start a new thread to get away from the Jerry Springer influenced "other" thread here I go.
I think Planet of the Apes the score simply ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is much better than I could have ever imagined, but then again I'm a sucker for percussions. Now, can't make a decision about how the score fits in the movie, but as a stand alone piece it really sends some huge vibres. It is above and beyond most of the music that has been written thus far and may even take first, second or third place in my soundtrack countdown list (gotta see the movie first). It is certainly better than any recording of moving auto travelings.

Jeron, he's referencing a post someone else made in the previous thread...the other person said that he thought a recording of traffic on the highway would be more musical than POTA.Mike

Hey Dan, I am posititve, and not very knowledgable about music in general, but even I know that Planet of the Apes is not the best of all the scores in history.To clarigy, I think it is among the best of this year.
