Just read this at Movie Zone:Composer/Editor/Director John Ottman has a full plate of projects this summer and fall. John is currently completing the score for the upcoming Disney release "Bubble Boy" opening this August.
He is also handling scoring duties on "Arac Attack" for producers Dean Devlin and Roland Emmerich, the HBO film "Point of Origin" and the USA Network cable thriller, "Breeders."
@ N-Zone asked John about the upcoming Singer projects to which he might be attached and John responded that, "Battlestar [Galactica TV revival] will
shoot in November tentatively, scoring in January while X-Men 2 will be filming in March or April [2002]."
John is currently negotiating to see if he will just score the new "X-Men film" [replacing Michael Kamen who scored the original film because of John's commitment directing "Urban Legends 2"] or if he will both score and edit the sequel.Thought you might be interested. IMHO, John Ottman should've scored X-Men BTW.

Yeah - John just completed scoring BUBBLE BOY last week; look for sound clips in the near future on his website (http://www.johnottman.com/)Once things are more "finalized" regarding X-MEN 2 and "Battlestar Galactica", you'll hear about it at his website, of course.

I agree on the note about Ottman doing the score for X-Men. I don't care for the film's he's done music for in the past, which is really sad, because what I've heard of The Usual Suspects was very effective in the film. Ottman worked EXTREMELY hard on that one and did his best stuff under those conditions. Imagine what he'll do for a genre picture of this kind, if he gets X-Men 2, hopefully there won't be much in his way this time.

Ah well, there ya go.
Look for sound clips sometime soon.
And Peter, maybe I'll just wait until John gives me more info, before I post something on HIS site.
I remind you that Varese isn't always accurate (LEGEND, anyone?) so I'll just wait until I get final confirmation from John.
Go open your used CD store ASAP!
