    Hi,
Just listening to the awesome score for Pee-Wee's Big Adventure. Then the score for Big Top Pee Wee. And these are both good. Too bad Elfman couldn't use some themes from Big Adventure in Big Top....oh well.

Anyway, with recent word of two or possibly three Pee Wee Herman movies in the works what is the likelyhood that Elfman will score either of these? That would be a dream come true. Its seems that back in the day Elfman was known for scoring the unusual, be it Beetlemen, Herman, or walks like a frog. Now a days hes the dark music writer. Which is fine (no complaints), but it would be nice if he would do some small fun scores sometimes. Like even Back to School is enjoyable. Elfman used to have some GREAT light scores. Happy-go-lucky and just great kooky fun.
Oh well, maybe in a couple years.

I agree, I love the Pee-Wee scores very much. 5 stars for the first anf 4 stars for the second. A hint of "Simone's Theme" can be heard in track 2 and end credits on "Big Top". I would love it if Paul Ruebens would return as Pee-Wee Herman and have Danny Elfman go back to where he started with that sort of style of film scoring. It will take a while though, I think Paul has to become more well known and appreciated again before another Pee-Wee film can be born.
