    Thanx!

This is what FOLDOC has to say:

    1. <character> /ak/ The mnemonic for the ACKnowledge character, ASCII code 6.

    2. <communications> A message transmitted to indicate that some data has been received correctly. Typically, if the sender does not receive the ACK message after some predetermined time, or receives a NAK, the original data will be sent again.

So I guess it simply means "acknowledge" - which I had been guessing myself, but somehow I always had the feeling that it doesn't fit.

Okay, so TNT or TBS was running these "Famous Movie Moments" or something like that where they would spoof favorite scenes from the movies with monkeys playing the parts. And they did the takeoff of POTA called "Planet of the Humans", where a monkey landed on a planet inhabited by humans (monkeys wearing human masks).

Anyway he gets to yell that famous line "Keep your stinking paws off me you damn dirty human."

Oh well, I guess you had to be there.

(Okay, I admit it, I just wrote this lame post so I could see my name with the "Ape Warrior" heading next to it again.)
