I'll be glad when Mr. Bernstein stops travelling around so much. He's gotta come back to USC so I can audit one of his graduate classes!!

Just a shame I won't be able to get down to London for it. Still, there are some cool films on at the festival that I am (hopefully) going to see instead...

Agh...Sorry, I didn't realise this concert had already been announced. I only found out about it in yesterday's Radio Times.

Well hopefully, the concert will be transmitted on radio 3 sometime as part of the Proms Season. We may even be lucky and see it televised. I saw an ad for the Proms on BBC1 recently and it went something along the lines of "From Stravinsky to "The Magnificent Seven" (or words to that effect)...so you never know. I'll keep checking the Radio Times website to see if its scheduled..they only do searches 2 weeks in advance, so it doesn't show up yet. Gae NP Frankenstein (James Bernard)

There's an Elmer Bernstein/Gabriel Yared concert in October at the Flanders film festival here in Belgium.

All the Proms are broadcast live on Radio 3. Some are repeated the following week in the afternoons. Some are televised, but the Bernstein Prom is not scheduled to be broadcast (it says in the guide which ones will be shown, & this isn't one of them).

Just to remind people that this concert is today, starting in a little over an hour. Sadly, I won't be able to hear most of it myself (I'm going to a festival screening of Bangkok Dangerous ), but hopefully my sister will be recording it for me. Hope as many of you as possible remember to tune in...
