I've been lazy for some time, but now you can see the first two photos (provided by Foobsie) from London at the Goldsmith in London Website.
Strange, I hadn't noticed this before, but I wonder why Nils isn't on that picture??
? for PeterK: How do you want that review - with or without photos? And only about the actual concert, or with some bits about our meeting as well?

It did rain twice for about 30 minutes, but carrying that damn thing through London for two whole days wasn't fun.
Interestingly, it stopped raining right when Timmer arrived on Thursday, and started again shortly after he left on Friday...!

LOL Marian, rain wouldn't DARE drop on me!It used to be a joke amongst my friends that wherever I went the weather would be good, if we went hiking or camping during a time when the weatherman said "rain, storms, earthquakes etc" the weather would be great if I was there and bad if I wasn't. I came back from 2 weeks in the Scottish highlands with a better tan than my mate who went to Barbados...and this was in April?!

Hey, while in London Marian and I got some directions from a genuine 'stone the bleedin crows, gor blimey guv, gawd bless the auld queen mum' COCKNEY! no big deal you say?...well have YOU ever asked for directions in London?! you'll find Americans, French, Germans, Australians and outter bleedin Mongolians...but trying to find a local who knows the way can be bloody difficult

Come on people....let 'mommy' Joan, Andre and others know what 'we' and 'you' got up to in London, your public demands it!

JG16 is Jerry thanking the LSO leader.Could anyone provide some text with the pictures... I am tired now.... :-(

Incidentally, I know it's a while ago, but I was just wondering what went down after I left (outside KFC)? I'm quite glad I did go when I did, though, since I got a tube that was sitting in the station as I arrived on the platform, & that was pretty much the only one that got in to Richmond before the last train (since the last last train wasn't running for some reason), so if I'd stayed any longer, I'd have probably wound up stuck in Richmond unable to get home.
That'd have been a bad thing, then.NP Don't Look Now (Donaggio)

After I left Marian at the tube, I got my train back to Bristol with only 5 minutes to spare (if you remember Marian, I was a bit worried I wouldn't catch my train in time), back in Bristol I had half an hour before I was wisked off to south west Wales for some big time partying of my own...I crawled into my sleeping bag at 7.30 a.m.

Hollywood sources have revealed that "Foobsie" will be the main character in the upcoming Ridley Scott movie "SCARY MOVIE 3". The young actor has released this statement to the press "Yes, I am gonna get rich!". Also confirmed, the score will be by none other than Jerry Goldsmith, Foobsie insisted on his contribution during contract negotiations.

Rochelle, it would be great if you could make it next time, but what a long way to come....10,000 miles?! plus a lot of Oz Dollars! Do film composers NEVER play in Australia? I know Ron Goodwin did a tour of New Zealand but even that's 2000 miles from you?!

Hi Timmer,
Thanks for extending the invitation. Film composers never play here - although we do have the only annual score and sound conference here in my home town. Carter Burwell perfomed here a few years ago. Unfortunately, I wasn't aware of the conference at the time which was the first one.
At one point, I did contemplate attending last years Zimmer concert but was overwhelmed with study obligations.
Ideally, I would love to see James Newton Howard and Mark McKenzie perform. If they could perform at the same event would be better since I wouldn't have to fly out twice. Could someone mention this to the almighty omniscient powers that be?
Regards,
Rochelle

YES I Confess! I AM A TREKKIE!!!!!!!!!!!You have to meet Foobsie in person to understand the way he uses capital letters - he really talks that way!

Beatty: The guy at Pete's left is a friend of Lars, the other unidentified persons are the company of Brutus and Momoschiin - from what I know, noone of them has posted at any of the boards (and I hope they forgive me for forgetting their names - I have a horrible names memory).
Weird dreams continue. In this night's dream, it was about 2 weeks after the concert, and I was getting ready for the second Goldsmith concert. Everything was packed and I was ready to go to the station (10 hours before the concert, and I was going by TRAIN??), but I had to wait for a friend of my mother, who would bring me some additional food?? Of course, she didn't show up, so I left the train again. I was getting increasingly nervous, and suddenly I realized that I had no idea where and when everyone was going to meet! Slowly, I began to wonder whether ther WAS going to be another concert at all. I couldn't remember anything about it, and didn't have any phone numers with me, so in the end I decided that there was no concert, and instead went looking for some CDs in Vienna (on Sunday, when all stores are closed, and in places where you'll NEVER find CDs). But all the time, I kept wondering if there REALLY was no concert... WEIRD!
