What is this? Never heard of an El Cid bootleg before.

[Rant: I love listening to Rozsa, but collecting Rozsa is an exercise in frustration. So much is only available in mysterious OOP or bootleg editions. Clearly at least *some* people appreciate Rozsa, since it's hard to buy a Rozsa CD on ebay for less than $100.]

I'm not sure but it contais about 50 minutes and is conducted by Dr. Rozsa. Most of the tracks are the same of Sony release (it has 2 aditional tracks).

I love Miklos Rozsa's music also. His music evokes a profound humanity sadly lacking in a lot of contemporary scores. I need to extend my collection, but so far here's what I've gleaned over the years:-

lp=long play record (for those too young to know! )

    Ben Hur (lp)
    Ben Hur (lp-different music)
    Ben Hur (tape)
    Ben Hur (CD- extra music)
Tribute to a Badman(track on the "Beautiful Music" album)
Classic film scores of Miklos Rozsa
    El Cid
    Epic film Music
    Eye of the Needle
    Golden Voyage of Sinbad
    Immortal music of Miklos Rozsa
    King of Kings
    King's Thief(suite)
    Last Embrace, the
    Lost Weekend(original recording...scratchy as hell)
    Providence
    Quo Vadis
    Spellbound Concerto
    Spellbound/Paradine case(Waxman)(original recording..ditto above)
    Time after Time
    Violin Concerto(Sherlock Holmes)

Gae NP symphony No 10 Shostakovich

Gae, I have been a Rozsa fan from around 1960. I started collecting him and Goldsmith in earnest in 1979. Since then, I have found tons on them. Best, John.
