Just listened to this score for the first time yesterday, and I must be on my 5th or 6th listen already... Why does nobody ever speak of this score, possibly because the film is so atrocious? Anyway, it's great fun and for those of you who have heard it, what do you think??? I simply can't get enough of it, one of the funnest Goldsmith scores I've heard from the 90's, if not THE funnest.

    Hasta,
I remember when I first got my copy of BAD GIRLS,it was in my CD player for months!;you just can't get enough of it!

What was so exciting about this score was that it made up for Jerry's departure on TOOMSTONE!

Not only does this score have a delicious main theme,it also contains some of the composers more frenetic action music;much in the same mould as RAMBO.

My advice to anyone purchasing this score is to crank up the volume, sit back and enjoy the ride!...I know I do.

    Dean.

Yes, the film is flat awful. But the music has some highlights. I really like all the action music. Especially good is the first long one. Some good stuff on it and the second one also. Best, John.

It brings back the good ole'days when Jerry scored all those wonderful westerns.

Pitty they don't make as many westerns today though!

    Dean.

Bad Girls is one of my favourite western scores. I can almost never get enough of it.
To think I have one of CBS' Figure Skating specials to thank for hearing it...

I like the music a lot in this score. Like John, I find the action music excellent. Goldsmith's incorporation of the themes into the action motifs is his hallmark. I wish Hollywood would make more westerns, and Goldsmith and Bernstein would score them.

P.S. I shamefully admit that I kind of enjoyed this movie. Nice to see women kicking a few *****!

I think Bad Girls doesn't hold up at all when compared with his westerns from the '60s and '70s.

In my humble opinion Rio Conchos, 100 Rifles, Take a Hard Ride, The Loner, Wild Rovers, Hour of the Gun, Bandolero!, and etc. are much better. They're not for everybody, however.

Soon I'll buy Rio Lobo and add that to the above list.

    NP: Total Recall

I agree completely but that still doesn't make Bad Girls any less of a hoot than it is. Fun music that happens to be good music.
