Having seen the movie, it's probably because A. No score release because it's full of hip hop crap.
    B. There's hardly any score in the movie
    C. What there is there is just filler.

Yeah, but what's really strange is that the poster that I saw only had a few people credited: the actors, the director and the composer.
None of the usual director of photography credit, 55 producer credits, not even author credits, etc.

It was just the actors, the composer and the director.

Strange that Arnold should have been listed on that poster... considering he's neither John Williams nor Puff Daddy.

I found the Baby Boy score to be pretty cool - less thematic but along the lines of Shaft. I'm sure we'll see a promo or something begin to float around in the next few months. I had the opportunity to screen this film w/ a Q&A session w/ Singleton following the movie. My question to Singleton was regarding his work with David Arnold. Out of all the questions that were asked, the answer he gave me was the lengthiest of them all - going into detail on how passionate he was about the music and what a thrill it always to work with Mr. Arnold.

Anyway, the movie was alright - nothing ground-breaking but, as I've told my friends, I ended up enjoying it more than I initially thought I would. A score promo would be nice, but if we never see one, I won't be heartbroken. I've got Shaft.

I liked the movie.I didnit hear 'crap' hip hop,the hip hop on it was very good,I also heard marvyn gaye, kool and the gang and rose royce used in high profile places on the soundtrack.this is hardly crap hip hop.
also the score felt it was part of the movie sound wise, and I have read that singleton said it was about 40 or 50 minutes of score so perhaps we may get a small release officially.

That'd be cool. I'm an Arnold completist and would welcome a release... that boyeee really knows how to use electronics.
