Check out JWFan.net for links to a new Harry Potter trailer and an mp3 clip from it. Yet another great original piece by John Williams!

Marian, I saw the promo and heard some of the score. The score was pretty good. The film reminded me of a lot of stuff. My suggested title:Harry Potter: How to be a warlock/witch.
At least that was all that was in the trailer I saw. John.

Excellent trailer, excellent music! I have such good feelings about this film, despite having Chris Columbus at the helm.My biggest disappointment with A.I. was that they showed the first Harry Potter teaser instead of this one.

I am excited for this movie. I have much respect and confidence about Mr. Columbas directing. I have been an admire of his work for a long time. His three excellent screenplays for Amblin Entertainment was when I was first introduced to his creative talent. The screenplays were "The Goonies," "Gremlins," and "Young Sherlock Holmes." He indeed is an excellent writer and is capible of creating intersting and lively characters. His directing for comedies is good but he should really stay in the rhelm of fantasy. I'm pleased he is directing Potter. And yes, the music in the trailer is excellent.

What I don't understand is how they got Harry's so wrong. Not only is his hair way too regular, he also has the scar in the wrong place...John Hurt looks great as Mr. Olivander!

I'm never one to disagree with Brian...but...the score sounds fantastic and film looks horribly silly. Although that might not be a bad thing!

If not, then that comment is completely unjustified... from my POV, the elements presented in the teasers seem to be incredibly accurate. I'm sure this has a lot to do with Rowling acting as a consultant and overseeing the production. And hey, if you've read the books - you know the story is a little quirky (but also very clever, original, and fun). Personally, I can't wait for the film.

I'm behind this all the way, despite the odd move in placing Harry's scar to the side I have to say this, like Lord of the Rings, has visually captured the visions I have in my mind when reading the books PERFECTLY.Dan (UK)

Jeron...I tried...it too felt horribly silly, so in a way the movie feels like a perfect fit.I know there is a quite a few writers on this board...but being a fan of mature fantasy, and spending the majority of my time writing rather than reading...and for the limited reading time I have...it won't be a kids book.
Now, I know many people of all ages have found quite a bit to love about these books. I for one don't see it. But that's just me...I for one love how it has drawn kids into reading, and I'm sure the movie will be a treat.
But it still looks silly!

So maybe it wasn't meant to seem as out of control as some countries' illustrations make it out to be (I know it looks particularly out of control on the American and German covers).
As to the scar, I don't know what to say about that.

Only thing wrong with Harry's look is indeed the scar, at least in my opinion, and even the re-placement of that does not bother me to some astronomical extent. Daniel Radcliffe looks great in the part.Dan (UK)
