In case you guys weren't aware, a few film music websites are mentioned in the current issue of Entertainment Weekly (the one with the "IT list" and Kirsten Dunst and Tobey Maguire on the front). You can find it in newsstands, or check out the online version here:

EW -- lame as always.they left out all the UK based websites, and dare I say Filmtracks and this site.

Entertainment Weekly is a pretty heavily watered down version of what's happening. It sells because they put movie stars on the cover, but that doesn't make what's inside it any good. (Though that's true of everything.)I kinda enjoy Premiere when I read film-related periodicals...

EW gives The 13th Warrior an A-, but gives Lebowski and O Brother mixed to awful reviews (B- and F, respectfully). Needless to say, I don't agree with them.Anyway, it is too bad that Broxton's site wasn't included at least. Maybe they'll put his in "Limey Entertainment Weekly."

never buy EW.I grab about 5 different magazines and go buy an expensive coffee in the cafe at Barnes and Noble.
That O Brother, Where Art Thou? was given an F means EW, Roger Ebert, and his cohort, Richard "I'm prettier than Harry Knowles" Roeper, are without merit.
and anyone else who dissed it basically.Great film.

Dan, was it intentional that you didn't mention that EW gave some layout space to your own website (it is utterly retarded that I can't print it here... someone want to explain that one to me)?I read the article and do think they left out some of the best sites, as many do here. But still, good exposure for you and yours, Dan.

Matt,I didn't bother to mention SoundtrackNet because certain folks here tend to look negatively upon it.
Which makes me wonder - if MM.com was mentioned in the article, would we be seeing such a negative response as we're seeing now?

I guess it's not enough to want to do well, you apparently also have to wish other people failure. A wonderful attitude, and I'm sad for anyone who purveys it here.

I can see exactly where this thread is leading...Tim
P.S. - I agree with Lancelot- Premiere is the best movie mag, IMO.

Why, it's obviously leading to an all out flame-war. Don't you follow these things Matt?? You can't mention *************** without it inciting people into a riotous frenzy!

Definitely very half-assed "Web guide to movie music."- No Goldsmith sites listed.
- They totally ignored this site, Film Score Monthly, and Filmtracks
- Ricard Befan's site should have been listed in place of JohnWilliams.org.
