Yes, I know this is a music message board and it may not be the right place to mention what I have to say here, but I will do so anyways.

A lot of you don't know me, some still do and others may have forgotten me, after all, I am not such a huge presence on this board as I used to be. This has nothing to do with the condition of the site, or mine be dissillusioned or even upset with the board, but has everything to do with the fact that there just isn't enough hours in the day for me to accomplish all I have to accomplish.

Be that as it may, I have made many friends through this board. So many of you have become such an important part of my life, how could I number you y'all?

Yet, without discrediting anyone here, I have to share my thoughts about the Moores. Yes, Jeron and his mom Linda (his dad likes to stay in the background, but he as well is included in this). Jeron has been a member here from the beginning and even beyond. His Mom activly joined us a few months back.

I had the fortune and pleasure to meet them for the first time in person one year ago. Everything I came to know about them and to expect from them substantiated itself upon meeting them up close and personal. Needles to say, the friendship that started miles away over a thing called aim and an even older thing called (yeah can you believe it) the telephone.

Last nite I was able to meet my good friend, who really is much more like a brother to me, Jeron again , after about a year. Unfortunately his parents were taking a trip into dreamworld inc. but just the fact they were here in LA, could be actually felt.

Anyways, today I talked on the phone with Linda again, and, as so many times before, I was touched by her warmth, humor, down to earth personality and geniune character. It's rare one meets people like this, and it is almost impossible to see this kind of characteristics in a whole family.

What I am saying here is that without this board I would have never met the Moores. Thank you (again) PeterK.

Without the Moores my life wouldn't have been so incredibly enriched as it has been through them.

Without this family, my neph wouldn't have been drawn out of his shy shell to the extend that after meeting them just days before, he immediately missed them after they returned home last year. He is looking forward to meeting them again every minute of the day....

If you are fortunate enough to have met the Moores both on line or in person, you know what I am talking about. If you haven't been blessed in that manner, you don't know what you are missing.

MovieMusic. com has been a blessing to me, and the Moores a geniune gift of God Himself.

Hmm...just wanted to say this (perhaps it kinda reflects how this board has reached beyond the mere discussion of film music).

Yea, I am blessed indeed. I will try to be more of a presence on the board and Peter I will update my pathetic looking profile. Jeron, will see you guys tommorrow.

    I'm gonna shut up now.

Wow Scott, thanks man. I'm sitting here with watery eyes - about to go down and have breakfast with Mom and Dad. I'll be sure to show them this.

As far as why we are in Los Angeles, I guess this is as good a time as any to tell everyone. First off, I'm here for a 6-week film production course at USC, modeled after one of the same courses that Lucas and Zemeckis took when they were here. I'll be making 4 short films - yep - writing, directing, and producing them all. Luckily I will have the help of some of my friends from the board, who are equally enthusiastic about becoming filmmakers.

Secondly, well - as many of you know, I applied to USC University and Film School. I was denied admission to both. I took rejection from the Film School pretty tough, but I've done a pretty good job bounching back - and at this point, I'm somewhat glad I wasn't accepted immediately. The real bummer came when I wasn't even accepted to USC itself - which completely cancelled all my dreams (for the time being) of becoming a USC Trojan, taking non-major film courses and working my way into the film program from the inside. Needless to say, I didn't know where I was going to be the following year or what direction life would be taking me.

...But God works in mysterious ways. My parents and I were driving to Los Angeles from Dallas (yeah, a 25 hour drive) so that I can have my vehicle and all my belongings while I'm here at the summer program. Making a phone call to my Grandmother when we were about 2 hours outside of LA, my mother called to see if we had received any thing important in the mail. To all of our surprise, there was a big priority envelope from USC addressed to yours truly. You see, about three weeks ago I submitted a letter of appeal to USC, begging them to reconsider my admission while taking into consideration my new grades and film school letters of rec (which were quite weighty). Cutting to the chase: they changed there minds, I got in! This entire process has been one of the most emotional rollercoasters I've ever been on, but I really can't explain how incredibly happy a person I am... I mean, I was in the backseat of my truck when my Grandmother read the acceptance letter and I broke into tears of joy.

Anyway, I'm finally pursuing dream and am beginning to make things happen in my life. Moving to Los Angeles and being accepted to USC is the first big step - and I plan on making a huge imprint on this city. Everyone in Texas that I wasn't able to meet, maybe we can still do that BBQ during Christmas. Everyone in the LA area, well - I'm here to stay, so be sure to e-mail me!

Scott, thanks again for such a warm and loving post. Justin, I'm gonna miss you pal, but hey! I've still got my 214 area code cell phone, so just give that a ring some time. I'm sooo late for breakfast my parents are gonna wonder where I am. I'd better get going!!

    Your friend,
    Jeron

Good luck Jeron. Maybe some day we'll get to hook up since I live here also. Although living here, I'm still about 45 min. to an hour away. Don't you just love big city commutes. But if you're ever up by Magic Mountain man, give me a ring.

    Thanks a lot, guys.

Chris, of course we'll hook up! Probably this fall.

Matt, it'd be awesome if we could meet on campus in the next couple days!! My class is in the new Zemeckis building (which was sooooo awwweeesome) - and I've already got to begin developing my first film (which I'll start shooting on Sunday). I'll call ya!

Hector, thanks for the ***! That's so special.

While I have not had the pleasure of speaking with Jeron's distinguished mother, or of meeting any Moore in person, I still absolutely concur with Scott. Jeron is one of the warmest, most friendly, and most admirable people I have ever known.

Congradulations on your acceptance, buddy! I'll see ya in a couple of years.
