Is this a good Moriconne score? Currently, I only have Mission To Mars (*****) and The Mission (****). I also have heard bits of Moriconne's great rejected score to What Dreams May Come.

Your recommendation on this score is welcome.

    Thanks.

I am a big fan of Morricone, but WOLF simple isn't one of my favorites.

It feature some very good cues, but most of the score is based on suspense music and gets quite annoying from time to time.

Still interesting, even with this flaws...

Racerpose, if you want more Morricone, I suggest you start with his westerns like A Fistful of Dollars, For A Few Dollars More, and The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. I think they are better than Wolf.

Then move to Once Upon a Time in America and The Untouchables.

There are some who like Wolf--check out the search function and you might find a previous topic on this. I like the Chase cue but little else. Even if you're looking at a cheap used copy, you might do better to put that cash elsewhere IMHO.

I like Wolf... It's not the greatest thing the Maestro's ever written but I like to put it on before I go to sleep sometimes. It's a very relaxing score. I also like to put it on when I am writing on occasion.

I had posted a thread before buying it, and on the strength of certain suggestions I got it.

It's got some lovely Morricone moments, but if I'm not mistaken there's only one track (The Barn) which isn't plagued by this horrible synthesiser riff.

Which is why I don't listen to it too often.
