    From FSM:

"Also due this summer is the deluxe re-release of composer Bruce Broughton's exquisite soundtrack to the 1986 fantasy THE BOY WHO COULD FLY accompanied by a full-color booklet and liner notes by Daniel Schweiger detailing the making of the film and its score."

    Excellente.

    (Don't pounce ok)

Are there a lot of good Broughton scores out there? I've only heard Rescuers Down Under, and heard about Lost in Space.

    Enlighten me (please).

Try Silverado, Tombstone, Young Sherlock Holmes, Harry and the Hendersons, Baby's Day Out, Honey I Blew Up The Kid, Heart of Darkness (computer game), The Monster Squad, and The Master of Ballantrae, for starters....

The Changeling! That's so friggin' weird! I just watched the film for the first time the other day and was complaining about the lack of a soundtrack release!

Great, great news! Spooky piano score!

I'm just glad I'll finally be able to fill in another gap in my Broughton collection.

I'd been wanting Shadow Conspiracy just for its great main theme and took advantage of Intrada's recent sale to snag it. (This should have been the main theme to JAG, I think.)

Great main themes are basically what Broughton is about, Camillu. That and he has a knack for very colorful and energetic orchestration. (Thru The Planet from Lost In Space is proof.)

So get more of his stuff!

Try Heart of Darkness. One of my faves.

I'm a Tombstone fan all the way... from the first time I saw the movie in the theater. I remember thinking to myself, "This is an amazing score to an absolutely awful movie."

Since then, the movie has grown on me a little. But Broughton's score has always been tops.

I agree with Bear on this one. TOMBSTONE is great. And I like the movie also!

Now can someone explain to me why no one ever released a proper complete score album for the amazing YOUNG SHERLOCK HOLMES???

I still wish they would release the vocal version of "Georgia's Death" from True Women.
