Topic: Site error? Software burps!

Some of you have noticed the site hit a speed bump for about an hour today. The message boards were fine, but the main page (and all the other pages) were roughed up, thanks to unstable third party components used for web software in use here. Just so you know!We've also taken the site in for its 3,000 mile Jiffy Lube, so things may be a little faster than before (actually, it wasn't a Jiffy job, it was more like dumping high-octane fuel in the gas tank). Thanks for your patience!

Tim, this is a message board without a search feature. Take a good look around, pardner!  Connection speed and computing speed are not related, unfortunately. This site is running faster because the network it sits on has been improved, despite my earlier (misleading) statements about the servers' gas tanks. Yes, we are going to implement search on the boards here, but at our own pace. It's on the list, and, until the store shoppers start demanding it (which probably won't happen, since 95% of the buyers haven't even set foot in these boards), it remains low. Online retail makes no additional money whether there's a search engine for a message board or not! If you don't like supporting MM financially, then all I ask is your patience, thanks.

Didn't His Royal FishChippy Highness say once that if everyone on the board bought from the MM store, the search engine would return? I'd love to verify that. But the search engine is gone!!!
