I really don't think you could say that one is BETTER then the other, it's really about personal prefrence. Mine happens to be Jerry Goldsmith. Why? Becuase I'm a jaded bastard!

Are you guys fighting .... like in Bloodsport? That would be cool to see.

Actually it would be cool to see Williams Vs. Goldsmith in a Ultimate Fighting compition. Who would score that?

    dave

    NP : Looking for Richard

PS - Shouldn't you guys be compairing Goldsmith and Silvestri? Since they are the two Mummy composers?

A "composer duel"; something like the "piano duel" in the Legend of 1900!

Since "debate" over such issues is about all we do here between ourselves, we're all pros at it.

Ultimately, you like what you like and tell your friend he's entitled to his opinion. If that doesn't shut him up, tell him he's an idiot with no taste whatsoever. If he still persists, kill him, chop him up, cook him, and feed him to his mother.

Remember the composers you like are great and all the others suck. People here will tell you to be open and nice have manners and respect other people's opinions even if you disagree with them. Just ignore that crap and come in with guns blazing.

"Peace isn't a win-win situation, it isn't compromise, live and let live. We can only be happy standing on the corpses of our enemies. Peace is when there is no one left to fight. I went to the peace table. I did not want to back down. I did not want live in peace. I was angry. I wanted to kick the hell out of those bastards." --- Wendy Frowein

Sorry Unknown for being crass. I was born on the wrong side of the tracks. That by no means means you shouldn't put up some kind of fight against this irritating antagonist of yours.

I'm surprised no one asked me who Wendy Frowein was. For the record, she said this after her divorce.

John is right. His list of composers is a great one to work from if you actually have any money to spend on CDs.

Lance, my dad was a boxer in the army, I don't think so...

Yeah, peoples. Listen to Jennie. All she knows how to do is beat people up these days, especially after the beatings she's taken in life.

The bottom line is, wheneveryou have a disagreement about which composer or score or movie or anything is better, just ask me. I'm always right, and my opinions are bulletproof.

Jenny is going to Fox's fantastic Boot Camp II!

    OK, I'm a meanie.

The army won't stop calling me at home (trying to recruit me.) I don't know what their problem is.

I've always loved Williams, I mean Goldsmith is ok but he borrows from himself almost as much as Horner.

    Goldsmith is top dog.

    Morricone holds 2nd place firmly.

Bruce Broughton, Chris Young, and James Newton Howard come in there somewhere after that, with Elliot Goldenthal drifting around there as well.

    NP: Goldsmith's "The Sand Pebbles"
