Hmmmm. It won't go long if I don't post on it. I mean, who does it take to get it to the second page?

Don't tell me you've never seen "Raising Arizona"? The music during the long chase scene.

Another one: "The Drunken Army" from Captain Blood. I remember laughing when I first heard it in the movie, and it's still probably the most convincingly drunken-sounding music I've heard.

Reminds me of the bad band music from Ravenous. Those squeaky clarinets and out of tune horns. It's funny but... man. At least it also had good music which made it worth buying.

I'll tell you the maddest piece of scoring I can remember. The last scene of Mario Bava's Bay of Blood/Twitch of the Death Nerve, music by Stelvio Cipriani. I even have this track on CD, with appropriate dialogue. It's great.

"Let's go down to the bay!"

Cue: lalalala bonkers music. It's fantastic, I tell you.

No THE 'BURBS yet? [It's not my choice, but I'm surprised that I haven't seen it mentioned yet. Maybe it was, and I missed it....]

Oh, and, Richard, LINK is f---ing awesome, man. Good call.

The FLINT stuff is good, too. FLIM-FLAN's an appropriate mention for this topic as well.

John, I know what you mean. Track 8, "Diana Must Leave/New York", starts out as a quiet, romantic cue before becoming an almost psychotic cue with a frenetic xylophone solo.
    Very unusual.

How could I forget THE 'BURBS? The main title with the organ playing the Klopek's theme? The nightmare scene? Shame on me.

John Z, don't forget that repetitive and slamming music for Gary Oldham's Dracula(where he changes costunes every three mins.), the Dracula with the mod hair do. That piece makes me laugh every time I hear it. John.

Someone hold me back quick. Grrr.

Though back on topic, I've got The Battle from "Zimmers" Gladiator on a CD that was free with a magazine. I can't listen to that without laughing.
