Burwell is scoring A Knight's Tale. I'm not sure if that's been widely reported yet, so I figured I'd "get it out there". This is very good news, even thought the film is going to be total dogshit.

If I remember correctly, the film is littered with rock music all the way through. So much for maintaining a "medieval feel." I'm sure Burwell will be able to fill in the gaps well.

I doubt there will be a score release...

Varese might help us out. I think this movie looks cool, and "HELL YES" that Burwell is scoring it.

Thanks for the info. I've been tryin to find out who's scoring it for about a year.

If it's Burwell, then there might be some chances for a score release.

On the other hand, I've never liked Burwell's music that much.

So his association with this movie is a mixed bag where I'm concerned.

the film is tracked with pop songs pretty much throughout. Burwell might be doing like what he did on O Brother, Where Art Thou, and The Big Lebowski...source tunes and non-essential scoring.

Burwell's been doing crap films lately....when and what is the next Coen flick?

JJ, the next Coen flick is entitled "The Barber Project." Not sure when it's coming out... sometime this year. Sounds really good.

Burwell scoring crap films..dead wrong on that well Blair Witch 2 being the exception. How bout Hamlet..that was absolutely brilliant as well as the film which should've gotten more recognition. And has one his best scores to date. Burwell only provided additional music for O'Brother..that's all. Only 14 minutes worth which was rather effective and fun. So I know would like to check out A Knight's Tale.

actually Shaun, you damn bastard, I think Psycho IIII's score was pretty effective.

the "crap films" I was talking about:

What Planet Are You From?...why is this even debatable? it stars Garry Shandling....gag

Hamlet...I'm not too much into modernization of Shake-a-spear's plays...Titus being an exception, but Burwell didn't score that.

Wair Bitch 2....what IS the Book of Shadows anyway?

so, Burwell's been scoring some bad films...his music's still way cool

his best work is for the Coen flicks, as you all know.

Actually, I liked "What Planet Are You From?"....both the movie and the score. Linda Fiorentino in a see thru bathing attire helped a lot.

Quite unbelievable that they actually have the isolated score on such a DVD, a comedy of all things.

Norman, I thought the movie was great as well. Very humorous. Shandling is crazy.
