Until I learned of this album, I only knew Vic Mizzy from his themes to "The Addams Family" and "Green Acres". Now, after having heard the mp3s of his film work (at www.percepto.com ), I can't wait to get this CD. Has anyone else heard about this?

Have it. There was a full review of this on Film Score Monthly's website a couple weeks ago (you can do a search and find info) (www.filmscoremonthly.com).

This is a great disc and you should all do yourselves a favor and get yourself this pure joy on a disc.

I have this CD! A strange mix of stuff to be sure but all fun VM. I still love The NIght Walker best of all although it is very different from the rest of VM's scores. Too bad that for all the space it gets in the booklet, they only offer up one cue from it.

The FSM review sold me on this one, so I sent my order (and the way things are going I'll probably get it before my copy of "Towering Inferno" finally arrives). I had only seen one of the Knotts movies though, and that was more than 20 years ago so to get myself prepared rented "Ghost And Mr. Chicken" which is decent and then "Reluctant Astronaut" which is painfully bad, and notable only that Leslie Nielsen is the straight man in the film yet his straight lines are all funnier than anything else in it. Mizzy's score though is quite comically good and it should be nice to have it represented on CD.

Ditto THE RELUCTANT ASTRONAUT, which I have wanted for a long time. Only two cues.

I would imagine that if this sells out (only 1000 copies pressed) they'd be apt to do some complete score releases since they appear to have access to all of Mizzy's work.

This CD is a delight on many levels
and for some old farts a trip down memory
lane. When you here this music only someone
with a name like Vic Mizzy could have written
    it.

Intrada is listing THE NIGHT WALKER as an October release from Percepto. Maybe they were testing the waters with their first release. Must have sold well.

Glad to see the kind notices about our Mizzy CD!

Also, the news of our upcoming release of THE NIGHT WALKER is correct. The CD will contain the complete original score, plus a deluxe color booklet and will be limited to 1000 copies, like the Mizzy compilation.

For the record, the decision to release this CD was based on the many requests we received via e-mail and letters, so your suggestions most certainly make a difference.
