As most of us amass large quanities of cds, I thought it might be interesting to see which ones you continue to pull off your shelf to play. Here's five of mine:BULLITT (Lalo Schifrin) Classic McQueen, classic detective, classic cool. This and PETER GUNN set the standard for music to detect by.
THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS (John Barry) Barry and Bond expanded in the film that brought the series back. Great driving music.
RAMBO II (Jerry Goldsmith) Classic Goldsmith action perfect for getting fired up. Loved it when it shows up in Gremlins 2.
CONAN THE BARBARIAN (Basil Poledourus)
Solid Basil, one of his best.BAD BOYS (Mark Mancina) What idiot decided not to do a commercial release of this one? Probably more copies of this boot exist than the majority of score cds actually sell.
So what keeps returning to your cd player?

I've actually been keeping track of which CDs I play most often, and since the start of the year it's been a tie between:CHICKEN RUN
MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 2 (score)
THE TAKING OF PELHAM 123
ALIENwith four plays each so far. Sometimes I pick CDs completely at random, though.

My top five:1) THE ABYSS (Silvestri) Terrific Predator-style action cues and wonderous "exploration cues", covered in my review.
2) HOT SHOTS! PART DEUX (Poledouris) Wonderfully straight-faced action comedy score. I bought it (like a handful of other scores in my collection) based solely on an audio clip, but WHAT an audio clip! Worth more than the six bucks I paid for it.
3) JUDGE DREDD (Silvestri) "Judgment Day" is simply addictive.
4) MOUSE HUNT - expanded (Silvestri...again) Not quite complete, but still a welcome addition to my collection. "Catzilla vs. Rodant" and "The Arrival of Caesar" (my titles) are some of the best cues.
5) OUTBREAK - complete (Howard) An excellent action score with tender moments as well...and I've never even seen the movie.
I must thank John Dunham for #4 and #5.
Edit: Anastasia is definitely a runner-up.

Last year I listened constantly to Dinosaur and Mission to Mars, but when
I reflect back upon my overall listening habits, I see I always return to
my beloved western scores, especially those by Goldsmith and Bernstein.
I seem to never tire of Rio Conchos and Magnificient Seven and all their
others. Other often listened to westerns by other composers are Quiqley Down
Under, Rough Riders, Buffalo Girls, Dances With Wolves, and western
compilations.I often return lovely Barry melodies like Robin and Marian, Out of Africa, etc.
Finally my religious or epic soundtracks are constantly played. Rosza, Newman, and
Bernstein! King of Kings, Ben Hur, Greatest Story Ever Told, and Ten
Commandments.NP Tard Fest 2000...May become a classic.

I WOULD KILL TO HAVE TEN COMMANDMENTS! BEAUTIFUL SCORE! MAGNIFICENT MOVIE! you know, when I first saw that movie I was seven, and that movie is what made me a movie music fan. since the credits are so long in the beginning, the music was all I paid attention to (as I had horrible sight back then, still do *legally blind*) so without that movie I would not be such a fan of movie music.
