Before some scratch their head in wonderment one of the chief criteria were only 5 per year (from 1996 on). Many of these I chose because they were scores I picked up after seeing a film (which explains some of the stranger choices) and many of these I find myself listening to frequently. This is not a "best of the decade list by any means.

I've listed mine by year...you may wish to see how your own "Top 5" playlist evolves.

your list is fine, but for me personally, I would have to put JNH's Restoration above and beyond Crimson Tide for 1995.

and I think was earned in 1999 by Ennio Morricone for Legend of 1900.

    my opinion of course.

    Indeed.

there were a lot of good 90s scores.

the Viennese school of composing is not the only kind...

Sakman, you have many interesting titles on there. Several of which I am not all that familiar with and a few I have no knowledge of at all. But many of them appear to be good choices. There are a few others I would personally add to it. Like the comments above the decade of the '90s did have a lot of good scores but I personally believe the 60's, 70's and 80's decades were all better. Thanks, John.

Forget that. it's hard choosing top 5 scores from the 90's because it's hard to find which scores where good.

    Yes, John,

It was hard fine tuning, and I had to "cheat a bit" with stuff life "The Red Violin."

But in listening now to the last 25 scores, it reminds me again that these are some of the finer things. There were a couple of possible alterations...like "Legend of Bagger Vance" from last year.
