Just got this deluxe little disc in the mail yesterday. It promises four different audio tracks, including commentary on the sound featuring Howard Shore. But I can't isolate two of the four tracks promised on Disc 1. is it an "Easter egg" or something?

What little of the commentary I HAVE heard so far is a bit schizophrenic ... Morgan Freeman sounding terribly self-important in one room, David Fincher and Brad Pitt goofing off in another, although towards the end, Fincher goes off on a fascinating rant about the difficulties of working with marketing departments.

Actually, both SEVEN discs are logistical nightmares compared to the brilliant DVD of FIGHT CLUB, which I don't yet own but have borrowed.

I suppose with more time I could figure this out myself, but I am lazy, and what else are YOU guys here for?

(That damn Columbia House sent me BLAZING SADDLES instead of THE BOYS FROM BRAZIL. Nothing wrong with BLAZING SADDLES, but I don't want to OWN it right now, if ever. They also sent me MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 2, which I didn't ask for either, although I'm tempted to keep it, since, hey, it's John Woo. Any thoughts on that picture? I missed it in theaters. I haven't opened the shrinkwrap yet.)

Not quite sure what the problem is. If you can't get to all four of the commentary tracks, then you might have a physically defective DVD.

Otherwise, try going through the menus to choose the commentaries...

I loathed Mission: Implausible 2, but then again, I hate John Woo.

So far, I haven't heard anything bad about the Se7en DVD... I was wondering if anyone could tell me how it stacks up to Criterion's laser.

The criterion laser betters the DVD in terms of quality of supplements, but the DVD wins on presentation of the movie, there is no contest there.

    Worth owning both.

Listen to Swash, Rocco. The only person I knew of who liked Mission Impossible 2 now drinks steak out of one of those twisty straws.

John Woo should get the **** out of America.
