Forty-two years ago, 17 year-old Ritchie Valens died in a plane crash in Clear Lake, Iowa, as well as 22 year-old Buddy Holly and 28 year-old J.P. Richardson, known as the Big Bopper. Now, Ritchie is nominated to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Please join me in a memorial to them all, but mostly to Ritchie.

having lived in Lubbock, TX for the last 5+ years, you simply have no idea how sick and tired I am of hearing about Buddy Holly.but if Bobby Knight winds up in Lubbock, they'll soon have something else to talk about (good or bad, you decide).
And I might actually care about Texas Tech athletics again.

I was born in Lubbock. I love Buddy Holly. But I had to leave because they do mention him way too often.I'll salute RV with you though.
