Now, I know there is Williams' Earthquake, but besides that. What music do you fits such an experience the best?

From my experience what fits really good is Face Hugger from Alien it's starts out fast and feroucious like the actual jolting, and ends quite and somber like the aftermath.

Hmmmm, the fact I've been though a large earthquake (even though I was only 6) aside, I don't think I've ever thought about this.

I don't think it's something I'd have a CD/Tape of music ready for just incase though.

Though, perhaps "Futile Escape" from Horner's score to "Aliens" would fit the bill.

    Scott,

I like your choice. I survived the L.A. quake in '94. My wife (fiance at the time) and I both lost our apartements. They were totalled. Quite a frightening experience. But the beginning of Face Hugger would fit very well.

Dang, I skrewed up again. While Face Hugger isn't too bad of a representation of Earthquakes (and thanks Sebulba for agreeing) I think my original idea is even better. Breakaway.

That's what i initially wanted to say. Starts out suddenly but ends mellow, like a scene when the people finally are able to pick up the pieces.

Sebulba, dude, that sucks that both you and your wife lost your apartments at the time. Glad you guys made it though. But, it still sucks...

Earthquakes are much to loud, there's no way to reasonably listen to music during a 7 pointer.
