...hasn't happened yet, but I've read his interview in the Airwolf booklet, and he states that he still hope to do some movie work, especially for a "big, emotional movie". He left Hollywood at the end of 1993 do work with musicals in Europe, and he hasn't scored an american production since.

Would there still be room for the Sylvester Levay sound in 2001?

Maybe he could start working for Bruckheimer...

I thought Levay's score for Hot Shots fit the movie perfectly, I could see him doing that type of slapstick again. As for him doing a big emotional movie, I haven't really heard enough of his stuff to tell if he could pull it off. I loved his score for Navy Seals for some reason, I wish they would have released that one.

I would love to hear some more from him.

I agree with you guys, he's really underrated and once I got into collecting one of the first scores I had to have was his score to Hot Shots! although I wish there was more music. And I can't see why his score to Navy Seals wasn't released? It was recorded with the Munich Symphony Orchestra. So we should see a release at some point in time.

I'd like to see him back as well. His scores never disappoint, and AIRWOLF is one of the best tv themes of all time.
