I was reading on the Oscar page about John Williams, and how The Patriot is his 39th nomination and he has won 5 times. They also said he has the most nominations for any living person.Looking at the list of nominated scores, I see he has had one in almost every year but a few:
1994 - The Lion King (Zimmer)
1992 - Aladdin (Menken)
1986 - 'Round Midnight (Hancock)
1985 - Out Of Africa (Barry)
1979 - A Little Romance (Delerue)
1976 - The Omen (Goldsmith)
1970 - Love Story (Lai)
1968 - The Lion In Winter (Barry)(Williams' first nomination was in 1967 for Valley Of The Dolls. And his first win was in 1971 with Fiddler On The Roof.
