I read at IMDB that Goldsmith is doing the score.

What´s the deal? Does anybody have reliable info?

I saw that as well, maybe an optimistic Goldsmith fan? IMDB isn't really reliable when it comes to stuff like that.

    I don't think so...

    According to Jeron:
...It is indeed true that Elfman will be scoring the film. A friend of mine contacted someone that works in Goldsmith's office and confirmed that JG will not be doing Planet of the Apes. So, as I said above, it was fun while it lasted!

Thanks for correcting that j_little So this was a actual rumour floating around for a while and not some hopeful Goldsmith fan submitting info to IMDB?(which has been known to happen quite often, remember Liz Hurley was listed as 'Lara Croft' in the film version of Tomb Raider for quite some time.)

Do you know who broke the story? Was it one of those one lines on FSM Friday or did someone hear from a friend who had a friend who's uncle's, wife's cousin is working for 20th Century Fox on the production?

And just to add, The Coming Attractions page for the new Apes lists the composer as Danny boy.
