Oscar® Winner

Despite the "complete score" tag that is always associated with this 2 CD set, the fact is it is NOT complete. There are at least a dozen interesting short cues missing from the Goldsmith episodes, and a couple from Stevens' - all are variations on themes already here, but they are fine cues anyway and it's a pity they're absent.NOTE: the Goldsmith cue title "Night Raid" (here, and on the Varese disc) is totally erroneous - this music actually accompanies a brief daylight battle and subsequent poisoning of a local well, followed by Peter O'Toole's majestic return from Rome. It's probably called Night Raid because it sounds VERY similar to track 12, ("Eleazar Attacks The Hebron Garrison") which DOES accompany a raid at night. Perhaps somebody confused the two tracks.
Anyway, here's the complete 2 CD track list, compiled after watching all four episodes of the 6 1/2 hour miniseries. I haven't been very imaginative with titles - after all, if you're going to make your own inserts you can call the tracks anything you want, so I've just tried to give some indication of what the music is accompanying. Where the tracks match the Varese CD (*), I've stuck to that title (with some elaborations).
