I'm going nuts trying to find out the name of the music that plays during the beginning of this movie. It's not on the soundtrack and I can't find the score. Doesn't anyone know this song?

None of Mark Mancina's score was released dude. And I think that was his best action score yet. Sure it lacked a good theme and had elements from Speed, but it was alot better than Speed overall.

Thanks for the reply, I was hoping I was just looking in the wrong places when I couldn't find it. I thought it must have been Mark Mancina, wasn't sure, I don't usually like the scores. I agree that this was a fabulous score though... I guess I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed and hope they release it.

    Thanks again!

The action music sounds simular to Bad Boys and a little bid of Speed in the begining. But towards the end, morphs in to more orchestral material (and you'll notice it slowly start to change). Until the fully orchestral finale.
There wasn't much thematic music ( I don't remember any themes!) in this score, but it did serve it's purpose.

    Tim,

This was taken from a very old post about the score. I dug up this comment because I remembered it and had the impression at the time that you didn't think much of this score. As a result, I paid next to no attention to it. Now you claim it's probably his best action score yet? Has your opinion of it changed at all from your previous post?

What makes it Mancina's best action score yet? Any underscore which resembles "Enemy of the State" sounds dreadful and not near as good as Speed, Twister, Money Train or Bad Boys.

I really am curious about this score.

First off, how did you find that post with the search engine removed?

I never said I did not like it!
That comment was a result of my very first listen of the score in the movie.

Tim, when you get to the General Topics Page, at the top, you can find a pull-down menu which shows you various options about how many posts tu show. If you ask it to show you "all" topics, you'll get a whole bunch of pages listed. Now all you have to do is read all of them to find the one you're looking for. I'm not Al, so I don't know how he did it, but listing all topics is one way to do it.

Not that hard if you can guess what timeframe the pages refer to. A few clicks and I found it, though I was also looking for another post at the time.

I didn't mean it as an obsessive "Thaxtonish" reply, but I thought I'd just dig that post up while sorting through the others.
