Thought we might try something different. With over 400 soundtracks released last year, it's hard to keep up with everything.

So I would like to see people recommend a score they are enjoying that others might have missed.

I'll start by recommending Judas Kiss by Christopher Young. In addition to 15 tracks from the movie, the cd is filled out with selections from Getting Even, Copycat, Species, and a Hellraiser/Hellbound suite as performed by The Butler Symphony Orchestra.

PeterK could add a link to the store listing for anything available from the moviemusic store (although I am disappointed, since I expected February to be FREE FISHCHIPS with every order from the store month).

LOL, sorry. Unfortunately, if Gus gains weight, and he has, it means there are no free FishChips to go around. Maybe next month!

Oh, here's the link to everything released in 2000 that's in the MovieMusic database - just under 300 albums. Promos, bootlegs, CDRs, limited editions, etc, not included because these kinds of things don't have official release dates.

If anyone notices anything missing, gimme a holler!

I'm not yet convinced by The Cell, perhaps because I haven't seen the film (it seems to be the type of film which works better for me after seeing what it was written for), or maybe also because it has too much bass for my stereo system (this will change on Monday, when I'll get my new system :cool

But I said it before and I'll say it again: Hollow Man is a masterpiece.

NP: Igor Strawinsky: Le Sacre du printemps (Berlin Philharmonic, Herbert von Karajan)

    Underrated gems of 2000:

    Beltrami's The Watcher
Anne Dudley's 10th Kingdom TV score - truly worth owning,
and Danna's Girl Interrupted with heartbreakingly exquisite orchestrations - sounds a little like Thomas Newman.

David, I completely agree with you! I don't have Girl Interrupted, but The Watcher and The 10th Kingdom are great!

I thought Girl, Interrupted was '99.
Ah, well. Doesn't really matter; it's very good.

    NP: Kundun, Glass ****
