Wheres the Search Message Board option?

Unfortunately, the message board search feature is not the greatest in the world (and I am not about to write a better one from scratch). When the message boards get too big, the search eats up all the server power and slows down the rest of the site. Since the message boards are free, it's not good to be slowing down the people who are attempting to buy soundtracks. If everyone in the message boards bought CDs from this place, it might be a different story! We'd would buy a separate webserver for just the message boards, but that ain't happenin' at the moment.

Awww come on, Peter? Where's your sense of adventure? Coding a search engine would be fun! It's quite obvious that the UBB search algorithm is, well... lame.

Well I for one found it a very useful tool.

I found it very useful, too.I imagine that the UBB search just pours through all of the HTML files. Usually that's really heavy on the CPU and disk. This is not a good thing(tm) when the people who are purchasing items want a quick response from the website.
I imagine that something like SWISH-E would probably be more efficient.

If noone has ever mention the score here then I'd start a new topic. But if the the score has been dissussed already I'll just continue the thread.I just realised the Search tool was gone when I tried to find disscusions on "Once Upon A Time in America: Special Edition" and "Mobsters".

Disk space is not a problem, UBB's search method is. Therefore, asking a question about a soundtrack that has already been discussed previously is not going cause any harm whatsoever.Keep your suggestions coming.

I'll live without a search engine here.
