Thank you. Things have been quite frustrating...as usual. Lots of good and lots of nothing added in to spice it up. I have NEVER forgotten any of my friends here (I won't name ANY of you since I am bound to forget one or two and then you can call me...JERON...LOL!!! Love ya, big guy!)Napster has been my friend of late, although I must say that I have just purchased the Total Recall Delux disc and will be getting both Police Story AND The Stripper (already own the Tsunami disc...but FSM deserves thanks for getting such a GREAT score heard by the masses).
Hugs to all and I'll keep everyone posted.
P.S. I didn't realize the entire editing process could take SO long...especially when reshooting and jumbling things about...sigh.

I have pondered for quite some time if I should respond to this thread...after all Jeron spoke from his heart and we seem to share the same spirit for I find myself agreeing with him more often than not. This is such a case, where I see absolutley eye to eye with the Texan.I want to thank you Jeron for including me in your long list, I am both humbled and touched by this inclusion. Some of you may have noticed that I am not that big of a presence on this board. This has nothing to do with the board as a whole, let me assure you, but has to do with life itself. Last year a good friend passed and I struggled to arrange the proper military funeral for him. My mom has been having problems as has my father, another friend got killed by a drunken driver, I became very ill and just three days ago had a terrible migrane attack (the first one in almost three years)...I could go on and on but suffice it to say that I return to this board for several reasons.
It is true that when I arrived on the scene, I was just simply stumped by the reality that there were people like me out there. In the process I gotten to know many people and I became Aim literate thanks to the consistent prompting of both Jeron and Brian. I have met many of you and continue to converse to all of you who want to talk to me.
Yet something has changed. I don't know exactly when it happened and can't say that I actually noticed it as it appeared. But it happened. I don't come here anymore for the vast amount of information that all of you fine people so volutarily offer. I find myself coming here for one very primary reason:...
So if you would please get up and stroll over to the nearest mirror. What do you see? Well, I see the purpose of mine being here. Yes, YOU.
I may have never actually seen you let alone met you but somwhere and somehow you decided to share part of your soul with this community and I for one have grown so much richer from it. While music is my passion, you have become part of my life. If there is such a thing as a home away from home, then this must be it for me. If one is judged by the company of people he keeps, then I am surely blessed.
I don't want to get into the Ford issue. The man has never done anything negative to me and I try to live by the rule if I can't say anything nice don't say anything at all. I do understand that what is going on between PeterK and Mr. Ford has a long history. I respect both of them to leave the situation where it should remain...between the two of them.
I am a guest here. This is the house that PeterK build, and gosh darn it he build it for us. Freedom of speech here, freedom of speech there, yet this liberty was never ment as a substitute for common descency and respect. Something we sometimes do not show to well. Yet, as in a real family, we all make mistakes, we may get pissed. But in the end, we always reckognize the bonds that tie us together.
We are not a majority here. To have a place of our own, together at last with people who share the same love and knowledge about a subject all to often simply tossed aside, is truly a miracle. We must not destroy this on the basis of overhyped, and sometimes misplaced political ideologies.
When I look into the eyes of my little nephew I see a child who does not care about freedom of speech or the right to express himself. He cares for one thing, respect and love. Give him that, and all else will fall in place. When I think about the past, the people I have lost and the girl I could have married (were she still alive) and the one that got away, suddenly what happened here doesn't seem all that important anymore.
The situation seems to have resolved itself and I am ever grateful for the ones who stayed and ask for those who have left to come back...it ain't the same without you.
In conlusion let me just say that all of you have made me laugh, brought tears to my eyes, made me care, made me go on my knees and pray, made me think, and over all made me feel good. You have become my virtual family if you so will. Each and every one of you have become a permanent fixture in my life. My heart is so much richer because of the space you now occupie in it. For that I can only thank you. For that I can only promise that I will always be here...all the way until Christ returns, and then some.
Thank you Jeron for this thread,
thank you PeterK for this site,
and thank you all for YOU!
God bless,

What can I say that I haven't already said? Though I have only gotten to know some of you personally, I really do consider this my *home* on the net. It's the page I'm updating several times daily and looking foward to each and every thread and response. Though I've only really gotten to know some of you guys personally (Justin, Brian, and Jeron you are all great) through AIM, I consider you all friends. And Scott most of all, I've really come to learn alot from and respect him. He must be the most caring guy I've ever met! For the rest of you, I'd like to get to know you more. AIM Handle is ZimmerZero so if any of you ever wanna chat just gimme a ring, I spend a little too much time on this computer thing but hey, this is what I get out of it! Take it easy everybody.NP: Cider House Rules (Portman) ***/***** Perfect for this thread =)

Well said Scott.
I too have been thinking about posting on this thread for a while, but for one reason or another (okay, I admit it, it was because Jeron missed me out of his list
) didn't. For one thing, I seemed to miss whatever drama it was that caused this thread to start. Then I read Scott's post, & just had to reply.Basically, I agree with everything Scott said. I've been coming here for getting about a year & a half now, visiting virtually everyday. Why? That's right, like Scott said, it's the people that are here. I could continue, but I'd find myself saying exactly the same as Scott. So I'll keep it simple, & try not to be too squirm-inducingly self-congrtulatory, tree-hugging about it. Just one thing:
Thank you everyone.

Would I be listening to this now if I didn't come here? Quite unlikely. I daren't think how much quality music I've discovered because of you guys.)posted 02-09-2001 07:38 AM PT (US)

Pete,Jeron left me out too and I slept right next to the guy!
I have made many friendships over this board and joining this board was one great decision. We have such an assortment of people and personalities. This in my opinion is one of the best things the internet has. It is a place where we the film music fans gather and talk about the one thing we all have in common, the love for FILM MUSIC.
This is a second family to me and I am sure many members on the board could say the same thing.
I have been quiet lately due to my busy schedule. But, I just wanted to let you all know how much I appreciate everyone on the board. We got a great thing happening here.

Heck! I was surprised I'd even been remembered!I've lurked far too long while engaged in shenanigans elsehwere....
I skipped to the bottom after reading about Scofield and the non-responsiveness..
Could it be he and Carol might have "separated"???? I don't know if he was married. Or he might have moved out of his mother's or sister's house!
If anyone finds out (if I didn't miss it above), please let everyone know.
Now! I need to snoop around the board and figure out what caused all this.....
