    P.S
    I made it.

    P.P.S
Copyright laws (applicable to images and whatnot) only exist in the minds of narrow minded people who oppose the spirit of "swingers" baby.

I liked your Magnolia site. As for the Frog Rain, if you notice, a sign at the gas station near the store William H Macy is breaking into has a sign which reads Exodus 3:2 or some such thing. If you look up the scripture, it's about the plague of frogs.

I think that Magnolia uses frog raining the same way that Short Cuts uses occasional earthquakes. One reason why the earth quakes and the frogs rain on everyone regardless is just to show that everything is out of whack, that the gods are unhappy with the overall course of events, even if they shine on certain individuals.

    Just a thought.....

    Thanks.
Yeah, like I say, I have faith but know nothing really about the bible, so I was trying to speculate what it meant or could mean from a non-religious point of view.

It still IMHO rounds of the 'theory' of chance, I think.
That painting with "...but it did happen" is perhaps the principal reason.
But I like your idea. I think thats another thing I was trying to get at but couldn't find the right words to explain it.

    I don't express myself good.

    Thanks again.

I liked both movie and score.

Actually there's Exodus 3:2 or whatever line written in about a zillion places all throughout the film....from the guy jumping off the roof to the most obvious one..the pacard held by the crowd during the game show.

My take on the "Frogs" is that no matter how much we try to control our lives, we can't. We think we have things under wraps and frogs rain from the stinkin sky! No matter how much we think we know about our lives, we don't know anything. Then there is the whole religious factor...that is incorporated in the film, but PTA did not truly mean the thing from the Bible, he just remembered that frogs rained down in it.

And by the way...IT HAS RAINED FROGS THROUGHOUT HISTORY A FEW TIMES! Not huge toads, but tad poles, possibly picked up by a water spout a long distance off, then picked up by the storm, then rained down. It has happened.

    No problem.

Now that I think about it...Rich is right in a respect. "but it did happen" explains a lot. Kinda like Jimmy Gator not excepting that he abused(I think that is the right word) Claudia as a child, but it did happen.

Though when Jimmy says "I don't know what I've done", I always thought that it meant he was under the influence of alcohol or something.
He's always drinking throughout the film, and though this may be to combat the cancer, maybe he was meant to have had or still have a problem with the drink.
Just a thought, though perhaps I'm reading too much into things that aren't there.
