    yields very good results.

    Man Trouble by Delerue

Waldemar Kazanecki: Film Music, another fine Polish composer

3 copies of Chris Young's Murder in the First.

    as Mr Burns would say...

    EXCELLENT...

now, there were others as well, which I declined to pick up
The first was by Morricone, called City of Love.
    anyone know anything this music?

there was also a Varese compilation, conducted by John Scott, that had themes from Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Big, and many other titles.

    Dead Poets Society by Jarre

and finally, Naked Lunch by Howard Shore made an appearance.

it's relatively rare these days, so if anyone wants I an pick up Murder in the First and sell it to you.

Where was this located, JJ? Next time I go down there to see the folks, I'll want to look it up. Say, what did you think of our shop?

    Shaun,

seeing as how Murder in the First usually goes for an average of $25 on eBay, I'll charge $20 flat, shipping included. it's a big mark up, but I got no income right now, and $20 is more than a fair value for a French import. Email me with more questions, such as my addy, and all that.

    bmikej,

you did not have enough anime soundtracks!
    I kid.

very nice selection of scores. I almost bought too much. I found two VERY lovely Wojciech Kilar compilations that I'm totally enamored with. I was gonna buy Amanda, but only had so much dough.

and those Transformers had me just hating myself for not keeping all the ones I owned as a kid. especially that big red jet. Firejet, or Jetfire...whatever.

I do have to wonder just what FSM charges you all for shipping on their CDs.

Thank goodness JJH found this store. It will keep him away from all of those Vegas
strippers!! Do look, however, to see if Shaun is headlining a big show!

JJ, The Scott/Varese compilation is worth it for Barry's MASQUERADE theme alone, Scott does a fine job in conducting this lovely track!

Are you sure City of Love isn't "City of Joy?" Either way, it's Morricone, so it's good. The choir piece on the first track of City of Joy is a highlight.

    NP: Morricone's "Casualties of War"

Whoa, GET that John Scott Varese disc! If it's not absurdly expensive, that is. As the 'chanter mentioned, there's the lovely Barry tune, and also Scott's own amazing end title to SHOOT TO KILL, among other treasures -- including a bunch of OST cues from other Varese releases that came out around the same time, and many of which you might not otherwise have heard. It's a GREAT sampler.

NP: WARLOCK (this was not absurdly expensive!)

yeah, City of Joy, that's it.

okay, I'll get that Varese disc. sounds splendid.

can ANYONE tell me anything about Dead Poets Society? it also has some stuff from Witness on there as well.

NP -- From the Terrace, Elmer Bernstein; man, this is a lovely score.

I've only seen Dead Poets Society once, years ago, and have later heard a couple of mp3 files, but here's what I can remember: The music is mostly synth (I think), and thematically based on Beethoven's Ode to Joy (but in very strong variations, I believe). I think it was quite lovely.

    NP: Kundun (Philip Glass)
