Are you using "False Image" from the original release (cut from the film)?Shaun

Hmmmmm. Thanks Shaun. I actually was never able to get the OST, so I didn't know there was anything on there not used. I'll have to get that and add it. Thanks again.

yeah, looking at your titles, I would most definitely agree that getting he OST would be in order, just to compare the track titles.anyway, when someone gets this fully complete, I'd be interested in getting a copy in trade, to supplement my Varese CD.

Me too, even with an extended CD-ROM track that allows you to listen to Goldsmith's comments, if I manage to do that (never tried before). But as I'm getting a new Stereo/Home Cinema system soon, I haven't yet ordered the DVD, so it'll take a while.NP: Coma (Jerry Goldsmith)

I actually did compare the titles AND times of the ost with the dvd, and the only difference was when I mentioned that some of the tracks on the ost are multiple cues from the dvd combined. Here's mine compared to OST.
OST (Mine / DVD)
1. Hollow Man (1. Opening Titles)
2. Isabelle Comes Back (4. Reversion)
3. Linda & Sebastian (5. Same)
4. This Is Science (6 & 7 of mine)
5. Not Right (10. Sarah's Late Shift)
6. What Went Wrong? (either 13 or 14)
7. Broken Window (21. Spying On Linda)
8. False Image - an usused title I guess
9. Hi Boss (DISC 2 - 1. Drowned In His Pool)
10. Find Him (DISC 2 - Either 2 or 3)
11. Bloody Floor (DISC 2 - 4-7)
12. The Elevator (DISC 2 - 8-10)
13. The Big Climb (DISC 2 - 11. Go To Hell)So this is based on purely looking at titles and track times. Everything matches perfectly except track 6 & 10 on the OST, which I specified. Maybe someone else can clear up which it matches with on mine, but it's one of the one's I posted.
SHAUN, does it say on the OST that False Image was not used?

Sebulba, you NEED to get the Varese disc, man! The end of the film features some shoddy editing of cues.5. Not Right is actually your track 13 ("Reversion Failure")
6. What Went Wrong? (it's 14)
8. False Image - an usused title I guess
10. Find Him (edited kinda goofily in the film)
12. The Elevator (8 is an unreleased cue, but 9-10 are this cue)
13. The Big Climb (DISC 2 - 11. Go To Hell; the cue is different---likely from the original session---on the Varese disc)So, all in all, the Varese disc is actually useful, for these tracks:
7. Broken Window (in the film, the beginning of the cue isn't used, as another cue bleeds into it)
8. False Image (entirely unused; the scene in the film uses a rescored version; check the deleted scenes for where the actual cue was used)
10. Find Him (this cue is hurt by poor editing in the film)
and at least 13. The Big Climb
What a memory I have today!Shaun

Shaun is right on the money here. False Image was used in the film. It's for the scene where Elisabeth Shue checks on Kevin Bacon and finds out that he rigged the themographics camera. The cue got a really shitty mix in the film and it's a really excellent cue. Hey Sebulba, I'd be interested in helping you out in expanding the score if you want to. Just gimme a ring.

Yeah, like I said, the cue you hear in the film is from the re-score. The "False Image" cue on the Varese album is what you could call an "alternate".Shaun

So I guess we should called the Varese album, Hollow Man:Goldsmith's original intensions.

So I got the Varese Disc and went through it. So as Shaun stated, False Image is unused. Track 7 "Broken Window", Track 12 "The Elevator", and Track 13 "The Big Climb" are all different versions than used in the film. So I am therefore recompiling my 2 disc set to include these alternate takes. I will post my new tracks as soon as done. I'm also changing a couple of my tracks to reflect the OST.

Here's a question for you SHAUN and HARD TARGET. Ordinarily I place alternate cues and unused cues at the end of my scores. Do you think this should be the case with this set, or should I place the cues after the one used in the film?

That is a good question, man. I'd throw 'em at the end, as hearing two cues in a row that sound almost the same could be annoying if you do it the other way.Shaun

I agree with Shaun all the way...Can I get a copy of this score Sebulba let me know. I'd love to have this score as heard in the film. The next score to be ripped is Trevor Rabin's The 6th Day. The DVD is slated to be released on March 13. A shame the film bombed as badly as it did.P.O.

O.K. I've completed the new disc set. Included are the cues from the OST which were not on there before. Rather than retype everything out, I just updated the list at the top. Any cues from the OST are titled the same on my complete version.

Actually, the end of This Is Science is the same as the iso score. It's just that the is score continues on for about another 15 seconds with some additional stuff. There's nothing on the cd version that's not on the iso score. I noticed that and checked it out.

You're right.Well, that leaves more space on my 2CD set for the Goldsmith commentary.
