I saw it...heard it...and loved it...and by "it"...I mean O Brother here Art Thou? of course!

I LOVED THIS FILM! Although at first I was put off due to the audience laughing at the slapstick parts, when the funniest parts are the dry moments, with dry yet hillarious COEN BROS dialouge. When they laughed at obviius things, it made the film like a TV show where the artificial laughing makes it kinda lame...BUT...I cracked up when no one else did...when the guy said Obstackle in the start, I was dying...

What made this film so damned great was the amazing period music. If the song I am the man of constant sorrow is an original song, give the creater an oscar now! No one can resist the "coolness" of that song.

    The film ****/****
The Score or soundtrack I should say ****/****

All in all, one of the best films of the year. I was amazed by this single factor, George Clooney was GREAT I mean PERFECT and funny as hell as the main guy. The Coen bros are the best out there, they have everything to their own...god bless them, I wanna cry...they are fantastic!

I honestly believe that the Coen Bros films are best seen in SILENCE, because that SILENCE makes the viewer pick up odd and hillarious dry moments in all of their films. OBWAT?, that sounds cool, OBWAT? it shall be called...is a lighter film for the Coens, but man did it rule, especially a few hours later when the simple moments are remembered.

    Go see it!

" IIIIIII am a maaaa---aaaaan of constant sorroooooooow!" NOTE: I love that song!

O Brother *WHERE* Art Thou? I meant, I would have edited that but for some reason the editing thing does not allow my password to work. How come Peter K?

Is Carter Burwell doing music on this? I love all his collaborations with the Coen Brothers.

Drix, Carter Burwell did a bit of "additional music" only, barely noticeable in the film itself.

Great movie (although I didn't understand even half of it, saw it in English), great actors, great song score.

Anybody know about an upcoming DVD release?

    NP: Sphere (Elliot Goldenthal)

Burwell is supposed to be credited with additional music on the film; he's not mentioned in the publicity, however. T-Bone Burnett was the musical supervisor on the Coens' previous BIG LEBOWSKI, that's probably how he got this job. I am just grateful that the Coens didn't have a complete falling out with Burwell, as that team represents one of the great director/composer matches of the last dozen years.

H, I don't know why Burwell's name is missing from the publicity: maybe it was a really minor contribution he made. Anyway his name appears in the end credits of the actual movie.

I have managed to get an Oscar promo CD with the unreleased score only, music composed by Carter Burwell, some of which I didn't notice in the film.

It's a short album, anyway, but really fresh and funny as the film.

HOW short? I can't imagine the score in the movie to be longer than 5 minutes or so, rather shorter??
