    In the Director's Cut version of Das Boot there is a scene showing the crew getting a pubic lice inspection. Innediately following
    that there is a 20 secon excerpt of a jazz instrumental, possibly a clarinet predominates. This a rather bubbly piece.
    I'm trying to find the name of this piece and maybe a source for it.
    Can anyone help?

    gunner, sorry, can't help much, but as composer Klaus Doldinger is actually a jazz musician, I wouldn't be surprised if he composed the piece you mention himself. Sort of like Christopher Komeda doing all that source jazz on Rosemary's Baby.
