Its Boxing Day, and I went wild (for me, anyways) to the point where JG is now the most prolific composer in my modest collection. Here's what I have, and perhaps you can recommend some new titles:

    13th Warrior
    Air Force One
    Deep Rising
    The Edge
    Executive Decision
    First Knight
    The Ghost and the Darkness
    The Mummy
    Rudy
    Small Soldiers
    Total Recall: Deluxe Edition
    U.S. Marshals

Are there any other action scores I should get? Leviathan? Rambo? Chain Reaction?

Thanks for the help, and Happy Holidays to everyone!

Completely off the top of my head, and roughly in order of preference (I'm likely to think of others later)

    FIRST BLOOD
    EXTREME PREJUDICE
    100 RIFLES
    THE WIND AND THE LION
    KING SOLOMON'S MINES
    THE SWARM
CAPRICORN ONE (official release also includes the fine OUTLAND)
    RAMBO III
BABY: SECRET OF THE LOST LEGEND
    INNERSPACE
    LEVIATHAN
    SUPERGIRL
    RAMBO: FIRST BLOOD PART II
CHAIN REACTION (I personally like this one, but it's rather similar to ones you've already got.)

    Some more:

Basic Instinct...some classic action cues on top of a stellar score.

Congo...some great action pcs of a fair score

Hollow Man...excellent action overall, although it starts quietly

    The Shadow...one of my favorites.

All excellent picks, Hank... But let's not forget The Challenge, which has some of Jerry's most ferocious action writing. This was a score for a film that came out in 1982. Not a bad year for Jerry. First Blood, Inchon, Night Crossing, Inchon, Poltergeist... Not a bad score in the bunch.

God, how could I forget THE CHALLENGE? I LOVE that one!

As for his impressive 1982 roster, you left out one other great one: THE SECRET OF NIMH! Which also has some good action stuff, albeit in a more Debussian mode than the others.

What can I say, though? To paraphrase Brad Wills, "it's Goldsmith, it's catnip!"

    Don't forget Gremlins 2!

Good luck to anyone who can find The Shadow, King Solomon's Mines or Rambo 3. I was kind of lucky to find all three of them.

KING SOLOMON'S MINES and RAMBO III are Intrada releases ... don't they still have them at their own site? Along with their expanded NIGHT CROSSING? (Already having them myself, I never checked.) Footlights is likely to have them too.
