    CDs:
    • got LIVE if you want it! (The Rolling Stones)
    • What Lies Beneath (Alan Silvestri)

    Other stuff:

    • An M.C.Escher puzzle (the guy who did all those strange pictures, e.g. the one with the water running upwards)
    • Terry Pratchett: The Fifth Elephant (Book)
    • A great deluxe edition of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings - I've read LOTR 8 times, but I didn't have an English version (I read it once, and intend to do so again )

Plus even a bit of money, although I had expected to pay a part of the Tolkien books on my own, they're not too cheap.

Wadjaget? Remember saying that to everyone when your papers were passed
    back in school?

I received great soundtracks and ONE no-no soundtrack.

The good stuff was To Kill a Mockingbird, Cutthroat Island, The Lion Roars, The
Blue Max, Conan The Barbarian (wore my old LP and tape out), The Mighty,
Waterworld, Last of the Mohicans, Vertigo, Les Miserables, and Untouchables.

Speaking of “untouchables,” brother dear thought he should send a soundtrack to
my hubby to get him interested in soundtracks. Good Luck. However, the
“Art” work did intrigue him. BLECK! It’s called Russ Meyer’s Mega, Ultra
and Super Vixens. Track titles are unprintable. Art work would probably fetch
a high price to some scab-laden ultra perverted cretin. (None of my “sons” need
    apply. )

Mark H. filled me in on the phone on the artistic sensibilities of Russ Meyers.
O brother, thou art in trouble.
    (Now don’t all of you e mail me at once hoping I have a scanner...I don’t! )

This is all too much for a "mom."

A Creative CD-RW drive. Finally! But I'm having ASPI problems which I can't understand. Aaaarrrgghh!

    A CD-Labeller
    A Webcam!!! (Great fun)
    Clothes
Books - Jeffrey Archer and Einstein Bio.

And my ex-girlfriend got me the American Beauty soundtrack - but she got the song CD...

Now if only I could get the CD-R to work...

    • A nice little whale magnet
    • A check
    • Four DVDs! Yes! The 10th Kingdom (great), Dark City (also great), Snow Falling on Cedars (good movie, and I love that score), and Frequency (isolated score and commentary-sweet)

No CDs, but I'll pick up a couple of them tomorrow.

Mark.H, What's really disapointing is that nothing arrived for you from Santa Timmer in time! ....oh well, you certainly got some goodies there

I got a large book on great photography of the 20th century, plus practical things like shirts, trousers, jumpers etc...all very apreciated.

....The trousers don't fit due to an unprecedented increase in my waist size, which happened sometime this Christmas afternoon

I'm still waiting, 'cos we get our presents from the Wise Men on the 6th of January (they're much more slimline than fat old Santa, and hence don't get stuck in the chimney, even though there are three of them).

    I want socks, because:

I haven't got any intact ones because, all this year, whenever I went out to buy socks I came back with a CD.

    Well, here it is...
I was browsing through Funcoland (one of those video game dealers that sells used games and stuff) and found that I could get a refurbished Dreamcast for about 129.99...sooo

Stupid me bought one And 4 games...

Star Wars: Jedi Power Battles (Kick-butt, lightsaber swingin' action!)
4x4 Evolution (Georgous graphics. Slow gameplay)
Shenmue (This massive 4 CD game is so emmersive that I played it for 2 hours and didn't progess very far )
Blue Stinger (Kind of cheesy, but still fun to play with)

OK...that was my big presant for myself I also got a memory card.

But the highlight of my Christmas was seeing the look on a woman's face as I gave her a custom printed (and framed) portrait that I took of her last fall. That made my year.

Wow, you guys are lucky! I didn't get ANY CDs at all. Nor DVDs (I don't have a player, anyways), or any VHS tapes. Although I did get a Beanie Buddy from my sister, a VHS tape deck from her fiance, and a $20.00 from my uncle. And a Barbie Doll from my mom. Those were about the only presents I really liked. Hey, don't laugh about the Barbie. I don't play with them (sometimes I do like to do their hair) I collect them. Oh, yeah, and a $10.00 gift card to Kmart from my dad.
I got my self some gifts, a leahter Yankees coat, a game worn jersey of my favorite player (Jason Armenta) from my favorite minor league team (Billings Mustangs), and finally a Sharp Viewcam!
