Are your suites (e.g. Unbreakable) simply tracks after each other, or do you edit them to make one piece?

I used Cool Edit to edit them together. Sometimes I have two tracks immediately after one another edited so there's no skip, sometimes I have pieces of tracks edited into a suite. The flow is smooth, though, which is the most important thing.
    Unbreakable is composed as follows:
four fifths of Unbreakable/two thirds of The Wreck/one third of Reflection Of Elijah/four fifths of Visions/all of The Orange Man

NP: Dvorak: The 9 Symphonies conducted by Rafael Kubelik, disc 2, Symphony no. 2 in B flat major, op. 4

    John,
Something I notice about many a compilation is that, when using "newly acquired material", people tend to "heavy up" on that, whereas the things they've been listening to for years can be pared down to a more reasonable length (for instance, nearly 15 minutes of Unbreakable vs. almost 5 for Falling Down; same with Vertical Limit vs. The Fugitive).

Just one of those things that I was thinking about and decided to write down. Weird.

    Shaun

    Shaun:
Granted, I used more of Vertical Limit than the Fugitive, and more of Unbreakable than Falling Down. I think, though, that this is because I like both of those scores quite a bit more than The Fugitive and Falling Down. Look at Alive, which is likewise not a new score for me. Also, notice my first JNH comp: Outbreak and Snow Falling On Cedars get more time than most of the other scores, but neither of them was a newly acquired score at the time I made the comp.

    John,
I wasn't suggesting anything negative toward you, I just wanted to comment that it's hard to make compilations using new material. Especially if it's from a new score that you enjoy, as it's harder to pick just one cue. Of course, a year or so later, that ONE cue will become clearer. Nevermind, I know what I'm talking about but I can't write it out.

    Merry Christmas,
    Shaun

I know what you're talking about, too, and I sort of agree with you. I just don't think it's as big a factor as you seemed to be suggestng.

Merry Christmas to you as well.

Well, I haven't done any Composer Compiliations, but I have just done recently a 5 disc James Bond collection of my favourite cues and of course the theme songs.

I also have got a Buffy and Roswell collection of songs from the 2 series.
