I just received the copy of Ennio Morricone's rejected score for "WHAT DREAMS MAY COME" which my ex-foe JJH from Texas send me (JJ once hated me because I don't like Elfman very much. But now he realized that I am such a nice human being! )

I am still listening to it and, although I liked Michael Kamen's replacement score, it must be said that Morricone's is a pure gem!

What's the story behind this score?
Do anyone knowa why it was rejected?
And why it is so short - only 27 minutes?
Apparently there is no music for the "hell" sequences.
Maybe they fired Ennio before he get into those sequences...

    Anyway, what a beautiful score...
    Pure Morricone's vintage!

    And THANK you JJH!!!!

Well, he's relocated to Vegas, hasn't he? That means right now he's probably out at the casinos, with a hooker at one elbow and a margarita and cigars at the other, and a huge pile of gambling chips right in front of him. Roll them dice, JJ! Celebrate the Birth of our Lord in style!!!

    Dear Andre, my ex-foe,

you are welcome. everyone should have this music at some time in their life.

I was very surprised at how fast it go to Brasil.

    H Rocco is correct.

Indeed, I am now in Las Vegas. Got here Saturday after a very fast 13 hour jaunt from Texas (averaging about 85 mph the whole way).

All I can say is that it is very surreal being here, after fighting tooth and nail to avoid coming here in the first place.

but then again, I'm also in a place which is a mere 4 hours drive away from LA, so I can harass everyone I know out there as well.

still awaiting word from Chicago, and missing my CD collection.

Is Vegas as tiny as I hear? Supposedly it's comprised just of a couple blocks' worth of Strip and then some suburbs around it. My father pointed out that EVERY movie shot in Vegas has only a few locations to use, because of the city's size, or lack of same. I wonder how Reno compares.

    P.S. Beware of enormous toddlers!

    eh, it's not THAT tiny.

after all, 2 million people DO live here.

The Strip is pretty cool, ever changing.

haven't yet been to any of the big-time casinos (well, I have on [revious trips out here, but not recently -- not a big gambler).

my god, you should see some of the swanky houses here.

gads, I-15 really needs a major overhaul. It's murder on my Saturn (and therefore, my butt-ocks).
