Does anyone have the record album track listing to North's DRAGONSLAYER? These would really be helpful to me! Thanks to all of you!

I don't have the CD but here are the track titles for the original Label X audiophile recording---

    Urlander's Mission (Main Titles) (2:43)
    "No Sorcerers, No Dragons!" (1:44)
    Ulrich's Death; Mourning (2:12)
    Maiden's Sacrifice (4:22)
    Forest Romp (1:29)
    Hodge's Death (3:34)
Galen's Search For the Amulet (2:09)
    Vermithrax's Lair; Landslide (4:07)
    Valerian & Galen's Romance (1:54)
    Tyrian & Galen Fight (2:10)
    Jacopus Blasted (2:20)
    Elspeth's Destiny; Dragon's Scales (2:14)
    Galen Jailed; Galen's Escape (2:11)
    Dragon's Flight; Burning Villages (2:14)
    The Lottery (3:14)
Elspeth At the Stake; Vermithrax Triumph; Galen's Encounter (5:46)
    Galen's Desperation & Spirit Revitalized (1:50)
    Eclipse; Love and Hope (2:38)
    Resurrection of Ulrich (2:29)
"Destroy That Amulet!'; Ulrich Explodes; Vermithrax's Plunge (6:38)
The White Horse; Into the Sunset (End Credits) (4:30)

I love this score but does anyone else think the ending theme (The White Horse) seems out of place in this film? Just wondering.

Know what you mean, Gaijin, it's a lot sweeter than anything else heard up till then - but I found it a reassuring and uplifting cue, a return to "normal" after all the darkness I'd just been witnessing. It had the same affect on me that the closing swim-to-shore music had in JAWS.

Thank You,gaiijin51! I knew that somebody had the info to this! I have a boot cassette from Area 51 (RTS-Nevada) that has no track listings, but says that it is from the half-speed mastered LP. Did you ever notice that this score uses recycled elements of the original 2001 score in it? Thank you once again, and Merry Christmas! This movie is currently popping up on AMC now and again right now as well.

    8) Vermithrax's Lair; Landslide 4:08
    9) Valerian and Galen's Romance 1:56

    11) Jacopus Blasted 2:22
    12) Elspeth's at the Stake; Dragon's Scales 2:15
    13) Galen Jailed; Galen's Escape 2:12
    14) Burning Villages; Dragon's Flight 2:14

    This is correct, believe me.

    Great score, by the way...

Well I just watched this film again the other night on cable......WHAT A GOOD FILM!!!

WHY DID IT TAKE ME 20 years to appreciate the film??????? BLOWS THAT stupid DRAGONHEART outta the water. The dragon was even more scary than the new Gojira film. YOU KNOW WHY??? Cuz they actaully bothered to BUILD the monster....NOT PROGRAM IT in a comp and tell the actors "look here at nothing....now....ACTION!"

Anyway, the score STILL is the worst thing about the film. It reminds me of one of the THX promos where u hear the orchestra practicing. I found it VERY annoying to say the least and wonder why it wasn't rejected.

The music does play a TAD better alone though but still VERY disjointed.

I remember briefly hearing North's 2001 and thinking what's up with this guy? Does all his stuff SUCK!!! Has he done something that is universally well-received? Am I judging too harshly?

    Who knows?

Guess I'll go put the disc in right now and give it another chance.
