    I'd want EXPENSIVE ones!

    AKIRA IFUKUBE: MELODIOUS COMPILE (Japan)
PAPILLON (presumably expanded, deriving in France)
    and most expensive of all,

the JERRY GOLDSMITH project he just conducted with the LSO, commissioned by Sony/Phillips to show off their new SACD format. If you want to buy it, it comes, as a bonus, with its very own SACD player!

What'll THAT cost, five thousand bucks? sigh ...

    NP: PLANET OF THE APES

Well, I do in fact have two CDs on my wish list:
    • What Lies Beneath (Alan Silvestri)
    • A good Rolling Stones album I don't yet have - my parents have most of their earlier albums on LP, so I trust them picking the right one

I got so many CDs during the last few months, I can't even think of too many I'd like to have right now. Oh yeah, Night Crossing, but I wouldn't want to bother my parents with telling them they'd have to order it from Intrada's website...

...hey, Rocco, did you notice that you've already posted past the 3000 mark!?

    NP: Home Alone (Santa John)

Besides the six I just ordered or got today:

    Vertical Limit-pretty good
    Total Recall-expanded

ordered: Under Fire and Twilight Zone CDs, Objective Burma and Creature from Black Lagoon-MMM 3, and two Holdridges

I would like these three for Christmas too-what a hog!

    1. Unbreakable
    2. Treasure of Sierra Madre-Marco Polo
    3. FSM's FlimFlam and Girl Named Sooner

    Take care, JW.

Marian, I insist that you pick up the Stones' first album of originals, Aftermath. It gave us Paint It Black, I Am Waiting (used in Rushmore, not on the soundtrack), Stupid Girl, and Under My Thumb! Or just get Hot Rocks, but you'll be paying an arm and a leg from ABKCO! Damn non-remastered crap!

    Shaun

thanks for noticing, Marian ... I should have put a post-it note on the computer or something, but noooo, I have to go and barge in on other people's threads instead. I'd planned something very particular for #3000, and it seems almost pointless now ...

(it would have actually been #2999 from a chronological-record point of view, since I appeared on one of Mark Hatfield's posts from the Detroit Dandies thread.)

I may go ahead and start the thread anyway (it wasn't going to be "look at me, Mr. 3000!" but something else entirely, though how valuable, I'm not sure.)

NP: TOTAL RECALL DELUXE (that IS Carol Heather's voice at the end, I'm all but sure of it! Of course as I've already mentioned, she ghostwrote the whole thing anyway ... )

I'd go for expensive ones too, of course, as I'm not paying. Rozsa's double MGM thing, Michael J. Lewis's double thing, and some other double thing I had in my mind two seconds ago and have forgotten.
