What do you mean? I am testing the new search software, and did a search for our favorite Shaun Rutherford. I noticed the thread was unanswered, and jokingly posted to see how Shaun would react. I got my answer.

I was just wondering why this thread came back to life, and you just answered it.

Sometimes things in life are a lot simpler and innocent than you may think.

I wouldn't categorize this in the "my emails are being ignored" category.

You have a tendancy to write more than one sentence in your emails (nothing unusual) and so I (in the past) had asked multiple questions. You would then reply with an answer to ONE of them, and then ignore the rest.

I was merely referring to that.

I'm glad you don't like dishonesty; I don't like people putting words in my mouth.

When reading your posts, you give off this air of "I'm better than you" and it bugs me. Of course, that's my opinion. Others might see you as the supreme being of filmmusic. I'm just one of the people who knows what's going on.

It's weird that I when I wrote one near-nasty thing about Dan at a message board, I received hoards of emails from people who dislike him, and they all have funny stories to tell! It's because of these stories that I always read his posts in the "I'm better than you" tone.

Nice attitude. Between you and Peter, I guess there's just no room for any form of reconciliation and "peace". Oh well. It's not like I haven't tried.

I'm sure if all I read was pro-Nazi propoganda (for instance), I'd feel the Nazi's were nice people. But that's the difference between you and me. I'm willing to see both sides to an issue (well, I TRY to see both sides).

But I suppose you're just happy with your one-sided ignorant biased viewpoint of me. Again, I refer you to the time where we used to chat on rather friendly terms. You never did say what I did to piss you off; it couldn't have been my "persnickety" attitude, which I (apparently) have always had.

So what WAS it that pissed you off so much?

I've asked time and again for people to check their ego and arrogance at the door. If one doesn't want to, they are not welcome here, and will eventually get a clue.

Nobody here is any more important than anyone else, and that includes everyone. This is exactly the reason I ask everyone to treat each other just as they would like to be treated. Be cool to people, they will certainly be cool back to you.

As opposed to drawing your own conclusions. Clearly, this is a very healthy way to go through life.

I for one have actually 'dealt' with Dan professionally on a few occasions... and I don't see or hear the problems you have. At all. Dan's a nice guy. Knowledgable. On some issues, he knows more than me. On others, I know more than him. And I think we're both okay with that.

Maybe when I'm 26 or so, I'll be able to understand what you meant by that, as I'm clearly not talking "behind his back". In "internet terms", if I were doing that, I'd be posting under a phony name to disguise the fact that I actually work in the very same building as Dan. Dan and I are right here in this thread, so nothing was written without his knowledge.

Anyway, to end this post on a somewhat positive note, I want to point out that myself and Mr. Bear agree on at least one thing: that Sony seriously f*cked us over with their "Ultimate Edition" of The Phantom Menace. So, even though we are having something of an argument right now, there are things that we see eye to eye on.

Come on Peter. You know that there are plenty of people here who know more than other people (etc.) Chris Neel said he's from the MGM Music Department. He obviously knows more about MGM music than anyone else here, and if he said just as much, I doubt you'd give him as much of a hassle as you would me.

Well, I know Matt because I talked with him on the phone once, and emailed him twice. I guess that would make me friends with a whole lotta people. No, Matt is friendly because he is a bit more mature in how to deal with people and he's not as stuck in a rut as you seem to be.

Well, maybe I do drop names, but I don't see how that's "pompous" since they are usually in the context of the thread in which they were posted (a concept you have a hard time grasping). And this same search engine will show your crass generally rude manner towards anyone with an opinion or position different than yours. (Does the search engine show deleted threads? Hmm. Oh well.)

As far as I'm concerned, when you know a person, it's okay to call them by name. Dan has some pretty interesting connections. And most of the people whose names you think he is 'dropping', I'd warrant he actually knows. You'd be surprised.

Frankly, I envy Dan's connections. I'd love to go to sessions and stuff. Talk to composers. Are you sure you don't have a little envy there, too?

Regarding my "generally rude manner", most people here should know that most everything I say is meant out of love. It's a film music fan's equivalent to trading "your mom" jokes. It's a comfortability with the members on this board. For instance, when I call JJH an "ass", obviously I'm kidding and JJ knows that I'm kidding. When I call all Zimmer's fans "brain dead", I'm kidding and Zimmer's fans should (SHOULD!) know that I am kidding.

As I say constantly in an effort to reference Monty Python, we're all individuals here (I'm not). At times some of you get on my nerves, but I get on peoples' nerves constantly (as clearly evidenced in this thread), so it's an even trade.

It is hard to write about being negative when I'm in such a good mood. I will refrain from further comment until I am good and liquored up.

NOTE: If I return to this thread, only to write things like, "I love you guys and this is the best thing that's ever happened to me, you guys you guys.....hey....you know who was the Walrus? Dude, Boba Fett.......you guys are funny.......oh, I've just wet myself.........", just totally disregard it.
