Hailing from the tiny US town of Kentwood, Louisiana (population 1,200), Britney has been performing since she was a nip nipper, auditioning for the Disney Channel's Mickey Mouse Club at the age of eight. Although too young for the show, Britney's nipping talents were spotted by a producer at the station who helped her find an agent in New York where she studied performing arts and dance during her summer hols where her TV ad work started to blossom where an off-Broadway appearance followed before she was finally accepted into the hallowed Disney Club ranks at the ripe old nipper age of 11. Having paid her dues under the nurturing wing of the Mouse, the young nipper made her return to New York, this time on the trail of pop stardom, taking her musical cues from Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. Once back in the Big Apple she hooked up with Backstreet Boys producer Max Martin and Whitney knob-twiddler Eric Foster White...and OOOOPS! the rest er..will be history.
