Okay, you cretins, if there's anyone here who needs to be convinced that they should rush over to www.percepto.com and order Ronald Stein's "The Haunted Palace/The Premature Burial," head on over to today's Film Score Daily and I will endeavor to persuade!

Wedge, fear not, I'm ordering my copy when I finish typing this message! I adore what Stein did on those films (and others, like his beautiful though monothematic The Rain People), and just wonder if Percepto will be able to do some of the truly magnificent Les Baxter scores which are crying out for a release (Fall Of The House Of Usher, Pit And The Pendulum...)

Let's hope for Baxter's MASTER OF THE WORLD from the original masters!

Taylor would be happy you guys think the CD is great. He's got the Vic Mizzy CD planned for a January 20th release exclusively on the site (www.percepto.com). If you're in L.A., Vic will be signing CDs around that time... location to be determined. If you have any suggestions for further releases, email : mrpercepto@percepto.com.

    Thanks!

I ordered this and am waiting its arrival. I also saw the letterboxed Haunted Palace on AMC a few months back. Whatever else you can say about AIP, they knew enough to hire Baxter and Stein to write them great scores.

I rented THE HAUNTED PALACE a few weeks ago and really enjoyed Stein's music. Naturally, I ordered the Percepto release and it just arrived in the mail yesterday. Good stuff. I still need to give a listen to THE PREMATURE BURIAL, though.
