There are three new ones out there I'm wondering about....

    1) Assassins by Mark Mancina. Reportedly rejected, didn't his music end up in this film anyway? Or was it Mike Kamen who was rejected????

2)Fifth Element by Eric Serra 2CD
Is this necessary!!! Do we need another hour of demo's and alternates for this score?

3)Bride of Chucky by Graeme Revell
Childs Play 2 had a good orchestral score, so how is the third?

4)Last Boy Scout by Michael Kamen
I know this is another Holy Grail for everyone...hows the boot! I dont recall the score personally

Think I'll bypass all these and wait for the 2CD Cleopatra personally, but Im sure that some of us are rejoicing for these.
    Whadda ya say!

first of all ohmss, I'm judging by your name you're a bond fan like myself, very cool! Secondly, I wasnt aware of a rejected score to Assassins, but the score composed my Mancina is worth a listen, it has a few decent themes. Rent the movie and check it out.

First of all, I wanna make something perfectly clear...Mark Mancina's score for Assassins WASN'T rejected. It was definetly used but it got a pretty crappy sound mix in the finished film..If you have the movie on DVD as I do believe me you'll hear the score and it's terrific. The Assassins score the was actually rejected was Michael Kamen's. Kamen was supposed to score both Assassins and Fair Game, in which his score was also thrown out as well. And Ironically enough the person who replaced him on Fair Game was you guessed it Mark Mancina!!!

    "Ello Action!

Yep, guess it's obvious that I would be a Bond fan eh?
Don't like the direction the series is going in though
And for the record OHMSS is the best Bond film and score IMHO
I know lots of people will disagree with that....

HT confirmed what I thought about ASSASSINS....Kamen is the one who was rejected! Thought so...

and I'd love a copy of this one Action...only thing is I'm one of the losers without a CDR burner
Anyone need a nice CDR copy of Bay Cities LOGAN'S RUN? It's the only thing I have kicking around to trade off! Doh!

    All the best,
    Sean

    alright guys,
i ordered ASSASSINS bright and early this morning. According to craig over at screen archives the disc is 34 tracks and 70 minutes long. There is not a track listing but the sound quality is great. He also said that it is a mix of some music that was rejected from mancina's score and most of the score used in the film. But i think it is just music that was used in the movie, but i wont be sure of course until i recieve the disc this weekend. And for those of you who want a burned copy email me at richfilm@hotmail.com with your address and a list of things you have to trade for it. As for the few who have nothing to trade, just consider it a christamas gift although a trade would be optimal. It's gonna be probably a week or so after christamas until i can get them burned and out though. I have finals & projects up until dec. 21, and then am going out of town until the first of january. I'll post what i think of the score and a tracklist next week after i have time to watch the movie again (for track names) and give it several good listens.

Hmm! I wonder where yo got that?!

Seriously though, why not do some sort of payment then? I find, that is the only way we can get this type of music. Being burner-less, and all!

Either way, I am sure someone would be more than happy to help you out. Since I have come to the conclusion, that most of us just want to get this incredible music out to others, who will enjoy it as well!

Okay, the speech is over! Back to the topic at hand!

    Regards,
    Sean Robert Abbey

Don't worry about it. I am the same way, with only a copy of Supergirl! I guess it is time, to start saving some extra greenbacks, and get a burner, right?

    Well, in my case, DVD!

Thanks for posting the cue sheet for ASSASSINS, R- sounds like a good one

So did anyone bother to pick up any of the other 3 boots?
What IS the deal with Last Boy Scout, is it a GREAT Kamen score, or just another "need every scrap bootleg"?
You know some of this stuff is so negligble(see "This Ain't Fun No More" thread")

    Happy Holidays!
