The Chicken Who Crossed The Road

"Dearly beloved, today we shall look to Chapter Three from the Old Testament Book of Hezekiah. In Verse Twenty-Seven we are introduced to the dilemma of the chicken. Let us not forget that we first met this chicken back in the book of Genesis; it was there in Chapter One, Verse Twenty, that the age-old question, 'Which came first: the chicken or the egg?' was answered for us.
    But I digress.
Hezekiah 3:27 : "And among Hezekiah's bountiful livestock there was a chicken unlike the rest, in that she was filled with wanderlust. A rebellious spirit did draw her away, to depart from her roost, and causing her to so cast her eye upon yonder pathway. Traversing there, she did cross."
This chicken was not satisfied or content to abide among Hezekiah's livestock, where she enjoyed abundant blessing. No, dear friends, she was drawn toward rebellion and the carnal pleasures that awaited her...ON THE OTHER SIDE OF YONDER PATHWAY!"- Chris Kinsinger

Special mention for BEST WELCOME goes to the person who welcomed a new member by posting "Go AWAY!!!" I can't find this thread, so I can't remember who did this. It was very funny.

Hope you enjoyed this, fellas. Thanks for reading! (and for having a great sense of humor)

    Best Dramatic score
    Unbreakable-James Newton Howard

    Best Comedy score
    The Big Kahuna-Christopher Young
mostly cuz I haven't seen others, except Mete the Parents, and that was non-existent

    Best Action score
    Gladiator-Hans Zimmer and Lisa Gerrard

I have to give it up for this score. good stuff. the more I listen, the more I like it, especially in the film. battle music is not as formless as people think, but still, it's film music people, not classical music.

    Best Animation or Musical score
    Dinosaur-James Newton Howard

it's the only one I've heard, and it's stunning

    Best Sci-Fi/Horror score
    Hollow Man-Jerry Goldsmith
    The Cell-Howard Shore

this ends in a tie. HM is way underrated, and The Cell is just bad ass.

    Worst score (So far!!!)
    Blair Witch 2-Carter Burwell

I like Burwell, but please. Why pay this guy's fee, for essentially nothing more than what they had in the first film?

    Best unreleased score
    Frequency-Michael Kamen

    hands down.

    Most Over-the-top score
    Gone In 60 Seconds-Trevor Rabin

    yikes...

    Best composer comeback
    Maurice Jarre

not sure where the others went...

    Worst Album botch jobs
The Road to El Dorado-Hans Zimmer/John Powell

    Best composer
James Newton Howard (Dinosaur, Vertical Limit, Unbreakable)

been a great couple years for this guy.

How about a new category: "The best (re)release of a soundtrack from the 1960s or 1970s since much of the movie music written in Y2K stunk."

I can't nominate any because we still have yet a month of message board profundities left. Who knows, all of Al's excellent nominees may be eclipsed as the real power players come out in the winter.... when they have nothing else to do but get crazy on the message boards! Like, who really wants to go outside in the cold, when you can keep your feet next to the fuzzy, warm air coming out of your computer's vent under your desk? HUH?
