....instead I am devoting my life to REAL music such as WESTLIFE, STEPS, RICKY MARTIN, and anything sung by POSH SPICE!!

...I implore you ALL to give up that rubbish'y orchestral nonsence and get with it man!!

....GIORGIO MORODER was the only worthwhile composer out there anyway!

    TAKE THAT!

    Timmer,
I think I know where your going with this. Your making fun of all the nitpicking jerks on this board that seem to dislike more than like.

Kudos. I agree with you. I hate those people too.

NP - Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (Because I LOVE this score. Great main theme!)

As long as Timmer use sarcasm to make fun of people AaronR1074 described.

If Timmer serious, wistiti not agree with Timmer.

Sorry to hear that, Timmer. You'll obviously be wanting to get rid of your soundtrack collection forthwith.

I'll trade you my entire Spice Girls doll set for you soundtrack collection. You pay shipping for both. I'll also throw in my boot of Giorgio Moroder Yodels Your Favorite LL Cool J Rap Songs (featuring Britney Spears).

Better yet, I'll sweeten the deal..I'll throw in my sister's entire Barbie collection, some Powerpuff dolls and a nice Barbie Mansion that's bout 3 feet high and a Barbie red mustang convertable for your soundtrack collection. LOL Nothing wrong with Timmer's preferences. If the dude doesn't wanna hear movie scores anymore than that's his right..But if I find out he's listening to N'Suck (N'Sync) or The Backdoor (Backstreet) Boys then we've got a problem. Okay dude. any pods in your yard?

I know, you’re possessed...BIG TIME. Never fear. Mom has sent the
best EXORCIST to the UK. (Does your head turn completely around, is your
bed levitating, are you puking green stuff and spewing obscenities, and do
    you hear Tubular Bells???)

Never fear. We’ll get the real Timmer back soon.!

Ahhhh TDog! You have come over to join us right thinking people! How many victims have atonal, avant garde film composers claimed to the abyss of madness? It is so good to see one of you rescued from the hell that IS contemporary film scoring.

Is there anything as aesthetically pleasing as N'Sync's velvety vocals?

    Or Britney's melodious vocalisations?

Or the hip,"Right On",rhythmically astute Baja Men?
Who let the canines out! Indeed!

To help cure your madness TimDog, Ill be happy to take some of that horrid "movie music fluff" off yer hands...you don't even have to pay me my good man! Consider it a favor....

On a serious note, what the hell is wrong with the Powerpuff girls!?!??! Those little fish girls just crack me up! And their theme music kicks ass!

Timmer, I definitely agree with you. I've stopped listening to film music a LONG time ago, I just couldn't stand it any more. I've still been posting here because I was afraid of people sending me nasty emails if I tell them the truth.

NP: The Phantom Menace, 2CD version (John Williams) - Just to torture myself a bit, and to confirm by aversion of film music.

Waves of sound rushing towards Timmer, vocals that have been pepped up to make bad singers sound good "must...reach....CD....player"....

Volume throbbing forward in an incoherant wave of buzzing nausea..."out of my mind" sings the Spice thing....NOOOO!!! cries Timmer, muscles bunching and sweat beading from forhead as he claws his way along the
carpet "watchit y'lummock" screaches Gomez the cat as he's unceremoniously heaved aside from his favourite spot in front of the fire as the desperate Timmer, mental facilities stretched to a quantum load, brain smoldering at the heavy verbal onslaught of the repetitive Spice thing shakily reaches out for the off switch...
    "nearly....there....."

Oh delicious irony, Timmer! But remember: "ignorance is bliss", and you may be held responsible for a surge in Yankee interest in Westlife. Which is a bad thing, so repent. In the meantime, may I recommend music therapy in the shape of Korngold's The Sea Hawk to wean you off aforementioned spawn of Satan.

    WARNING: OLD POST!!!TODAY IS JUNE 17 02!!!

Cripes...just browsing through the vaults, and found this little thread here....pure insanity!

Isn't it fun to look back on how you used to write? Or is that fun for me alone?

Anyway, thought this looked fun, so I'm dragging this cat back up to the top, to see who may have turned to the dark side since this thread was initiated.

On the other hand, I must have gone off ye olde film music. I got the new Star Wars (Clones) score over a month ago and STILL haven't gotten around to playing it! Instead, I've been on a Big Band/Swing kick buying and playing dozens of Glenn Miller, Artie Shaw, Tommy & Jimmy Dorsey, Duke Ellington, Les Brown, Peggy Lee, Benny Goodman, Stan Kenton, etc. not to mention the various endless range of general "Best of..." and "Greatest Hits of...", etc. Swings and roundabouts. Once I exorcise myself of this latest tangent, I'll be back to the film scores. Meantime, I'm "in the mood" for some more Big Band Swing.

PS - the saving grace is that there are several anthologies of Big Band Swing music and jazz singers (Louis Armstrong, Mel Torme, etc.) used in the movies which I've gotten and play, so I can rationalise that I haven't really left the genre!
